Andy Rooney died Friday night at the age of 92. I didn't laugh much at his particular curmudgeonly kind of observational humor, but he was so familiar that he will definitely be missed.

The poor man - he just retires and just a short time later passes.

Yup, now I'm thinking that maybe he retired in part because his health was not great. Maybe he had some kind of sense of what was coming...
Very sad news to wake up to. My sympathies to all who loved him.

Didja ever wonder why it is that, when anyone announces his retirement that he dies shortly thereafter?? Didja?
I think some people just know that their time is up.

OTOH, he made it age 92. Not bad for dodging the odds in a high profile industry.
The journalism and entertainment industries have a huge loss. He was one-of-a-kind.
