Get to go home tomorrow..no pain..no pain pills..so much easier than my other knee

Wow, that's a very short stay in the hospital. I am glad you are feeling up to it. Will they be setting you up with a visiting home nurse and physical therapist? Be sure to ask about getting a CPM machine to use at home to help you recover your knee's flexibility.

Sounds like you are in good hands. You'll be working hard over the next several weeks. Looking forward to hearing about your first pain-free walk with your family.

@Butrflynet,
well, as things go, things aren't going too well. My husband is overwhelmed, the cpm machine has not been delivered, I missed my coumadin last night, the nurse who was supposed to come today because she is allergic to cats and nobody has called to indicate that another nuse will be coming.

I am mustering the troops. Called my friend who's a nurse, and she's on her way with lunch. Called another friend who was already making chili for us. Things will get better

@mags314772,
Hey Mags - how are you doing? Hoping Richard's bronchitis is getting better and you're still getting nursing care coming in to help you. Has the swelling lessened? Let us know how you're going when you can. ((((((Mags)))))x

@Izzie,
Richard is better, I am stronger, and we still have help coming in. My exercises are getting easier, my dose of blood thinner has been cut down.
And always there is the concerned presence of the standard poodle angel Billie Jean

@mags314772,
Are you up to a 110 degree bend yet? :::flees!:::

I'd like to have 2 of those CPM machines and have them exercise my legs while I'm sleeping. It's gotta be better than doing the stair climber.

Are you experiencing the Coumadin chill side effects? That was one of the things BBB was thankful for with the timing of her surgery. She was on the Coumadin during the summer and welcomed the chills. Last time on it, it was the dead of winter and nothing got her warm.

@Butrflynet,
Yes, have been at 110 for the last five days. And yes, I have the coumadin chill. I just didn't realize that's what it was!
