Buffets really freak me out.

oh yeah. I'm worse about buffets and potlucks at private homes than I am at restaurant buffets (and I have a blind eye when it comes to Chinese buffets - I can tolerate just about anything I see there) - but buffets make me nervous.

@ehBeth,
Also, if their sanitary conditions were that big a problem, it would be a front page news item. The biggest news thus far with McDonalds is that women who sued McD, because she spilt her coffee on herself and got burned.

Not too bad a track record - as international restaurants go.

There was a McD near where i lived in Ohio, and they began serving the early, early breakfast (4:00 a.m. onward) on crockery with stainless steel flatware. It was genius--all the goin' to work early guys stopped in there because it was like eating in a real restaurant at McD's prices. I really liked the bisuicts and gravy.

@1truepicture,
Not loving it, not hating it. I like their fries, don't like that I have to go easy on them for health reasons, and like their chicken nugget sauces. In some of theirrestaurants in America, they have entree-sized salads not. I like those best. Not crazy about everything else they sell.

@Green Witch,

Well, then you will be happy to know that the McD's washes their chopped meat in ammonia to kill the excessive amounts of bacteria present and suppress the E-coli from feces. Germs are the not the biggest problem in our food supply.

niiiiiiice.

@mismi,
actually, they never admitted to doing that pink slime thing, but they did officially announce that they don't do it any more.

I posted it on Edgar's thread a while back...

still a poor excuse for food.

Well that just tells me that I have less than a "exquisite palate" - even more so than I thought. I couldn't tell the difference and I love those Quarter Pounders with cheese.

eh. Thankfully - we just don't eat there very much.

We have a Taco Hell moving in next to McDonalds. Very excited. Wink So yet another choice for fast food during baseball season. I am sure I would be keen to know their nasty methods of operation as well.

@mismi,
I go to Taco Hell once in awhile for their crispy tacos and soft drink for under $5. I put a lot of hot sauce on em, and even get a refill of the soft drink for a cheap lunch.

Look at in a positive light; it's less junk food you'll be consuming. Mr. Green
