@FOUND SOUL,
Actually we didn't evolve from apes, we share a common ancestor.

@izzythepush,
I'm stuffed it seems at the moment with the Internet.

Sure I agree but Apes do, kind of look like humans.. Won't go further than that as I won't discriminate but so if the are our ancestors what does that say? To you.

Please discuss Smile

@FOUND SOUL,
Apes and humans both evolved from some other primate. Modern day apes, like humans, weren't around millions of years ago.

@reasoning logic,
We are always, changing our Moral thinking, about things...But are we morally right, or wrong?

I heard once, on a radio station...Said, that this song, sounds creepy, and is morally wrong...

Listen to the words, and tell me if you "think" it is morally right, or wrong?

If it is wrong, what is wrong about it? Do you think that when they made this song, that is what, they meant by it?

If it is not, as they, did not mean, that, is it us evolving, and getting better understandings of morality?...Or is it becoming more, and more perverse, and perverted...And less pure...? As they did not mean what people think they mean...?

If the second, is true...Then what makes you or anyone "think", that people questioning morality, is even a good thing?

You said yourself, It is normal to believe in God...So is yours, and others who question morality, And minds, becoming more and more perverse?....And are trying to look at things, with which that is not the way they were intended to be? (Bible, Church)??

Or is it that our morality was wrong from the start?

Why?

My personal, biggest, one...

Is the fact, that if everything did happen by chance...And there really is no innate purpose for anything, at all...As everything was just, chance, anyways...

And no one, or nothing, had any inspiration of any creation...Of any kind...Other than pure luck...

That still seems harder to believe (to me) that actually believing that a God does in fact exist, And their is a reason for everything...Even if, it is not fully understood...unlike atheists "think"...

So if evolution, did happen, the way people think...I would still like to believe, it was God's plan...

@XXSpadeMasterXX,
Whether or not evolution actually happened or not casts very little light on whether or not there is a God. What is a fact is that the Earth is far far older than Biblical literalists claim. I have a problem with those who refuse to accept facts, and running the risk of sounding a bit like Gradgrind think that any belief system that denies facts is ridiculous.

Luke Chapter 8 Verse 17.

Just as some of the materialists claim on the evolution threads.

I hear ya mate! I do not believe, the Earth, is only, 4-5,000 years old, either...

But I, do believe, it was planned...

And that is just a rough estimate...I know you understood, what I meant...

I have seen some shows like that, where they say they can not prove the Earth is older than 5,000 years old...And some people say It all started with God as an Extraterrestrial...Named Anunnaki ( I know you know this...But I will post it anyways) etc...Or 445,000 years ago

I do not think, I believe, any of it, is true...

It is easy to see, if God was, and he cross mixed DNA, with Homo Erect-us....He is not a God at all....Since there were horrific problems...According to the "Anunnaki Manipulation"

@XXSpadeMasterXX,
I doubt if any reputable scientists had anything to do with a show that claims we can't prove the Earth is more than 5,000 old.

Certain things have to be taken on faith, if a group of scientists insist something is a fact we have to accept it. It's like the Hadron Collider, the people handing the money over didn't know it was something the scientific community actually needed, but you've got to take their word for it.

And Science and Religion aren't necessarily incompatable. In Egypt the new president is also the head of the Moslem Brotherhood as well as being a Physics professor.

@FOUND SOUL,
Izzy has it correct from my understanding of evolution and to add to that, "every other thing that is living is related to us. Evolutionist seem to think that all living things came from the first living thing if I am not mistaken.
If you want to take it even further, you you would be studying the subject of organic chemistry. If you really have an interest, "Farmerman is the most informed on this site when it comes to evolution but don't tell Spendius that. Laughing

Does he think that he is a prophet too?

How does your relative handle being a Christian and an Islamic person at the same time if he thinks that this quote below is true?

Quote:
The Koran says that the other 2 scriptures are corrupt...And theirs is the correct one...

It says, where they have fallen, this one is correct...

It says the scripture is the most sacred miracle...

Does he think that Jesus is the son of God?

I agree mate, but it all depends on what we think reputable science is...To them, it is...To you and I, it may not be...

To me, it depends if it comes in conflict with "faith"... if it does...I am not so sure, I can say that I "think" they may be right, or wrong, on what they would call a "fact"...If they are using science to try to discount something that is faith based...I already believe, it really can not probably be proven one way or another...Like you said, they are not incompatible...And I agree 100%...But you are right, if anything does not come into conflict with faith itself...There is no reason to believe they are wrong...You could embrace scientific things with faith, just like non-scientific things...I got ya, and agree 100%...

I agree...Like I said above, mate...I agree 100%...And have even said this before...Although others tried to undercut it...

70% (or 70 out of every 100) Universities in the US were founded by Christians...And Scientists themselves, do not seem to be against religion...It is atheists, who use, and claim, that science is against religion...And pin the 2 against each other...That is one of the reasons, I believe it is actually a belief...

This is true but from what I understand there is more evidence that supports evolution than what we have for gravity.

He does not think they are both true...And neither do I...That is why, it does not make sense, they are from the Same Divine Being...Or of an Abrahamic God...It is Much more about, feeling truth in the Torah, and Bible...But wanting to do, what you want to do...And saying it, in a clever way...You can not say, they are all Divinely inspired by the same one...And throw almost everything the first 2 say out the window....It means it is bullshit...And you can smell it, from a mile away....

Quote:

You would have to ask him that...Or I would have to ask him, and tell you...I would say he might have...But being he is Islamic...He probably does not believe he was or is...He probably believes that Jesus was a Prophet of the Jews...And Mohammed was a Prophet for the world, and the last one...But I am not sure, if he has even read the Qur'an in English...Let alone Arabic...So I can not answer those questions...

Please explain "evidence"... Is it possible, what you said above, is true, Because there are millions of more facts, that are required into the understanding of evolution, than gravity?
