Question to those who do or do not doubt Christianity

As far as this new question it seems as if the goal of it is to try and instill doubt in what I believe. If that's the case then tactics like this won't work, but to answer your question, yes. I believe that what I regard as truth is true based on the insurmountable evidence in which shows me that it's true. Certainly all of this evidence could be wrong. I could simply be a brain in a vat experiencing a computer simulation for all I know! In regards to the truth however, the best that I can do is evaluate all present information in a non-biased way and align my beliefs with what is most probable and not most desireable...which is that which has more evidence to support the claim(s) and not just what I fancy the truth as.

I don't believe I've ever made that assertion. I believe that the plausibility of you being right is very low thus making the plausibility that you are wrong very high, but that's not saying that you are flat out wrong. I believe in what is most plausible, not possible. Believe in something that is extremely implausible just because it seems possible just seems foolish to me. Rational people don't believe in leprechans, unicorns, and fairies for a pretty good reason.

Well that wasn't the question that you originally asked. To be honest I really only discuss things that I disagree with because I find no point in discussing what is already agreed upon. If there is ever something I point out that I agree with then it's a fleeting memory for me although I'm very certain that we do share at least a few common agreeances. If I had to say one (although I'm not entirely certain) I would say manners and etiquette...or at least in regards to forum posting?

I know it probably doesn't seem that way but I'm actually a pretty busy guy and have to wake up early in the morning. There's also this thing that people need in order to function properly which is called sleep. Razz

As far as what you do wrong though, I don't really like the question. There are two different right and wrongs, there's the moral sense of the word, and the manners/etiquette sense. As far as those two meaning, I don't think I know your habits or individual beliefs on other topics to state for certain...that and I doubt if you do anything immoral, that you would put it on here. As far as the right and wrong that you're asking for, why must everything be so black and white? There are things that I disagree with sure, but that doesn't necessarily make them wrong. I disagree that you believe in something just because their's a tiny possibility that it might be true rather than aligning your belief's based on what's plausible. I don't like that you view all new information with a confirmation bais for your god (although not necessarily for the details of our beliefs). I don't like value faith as highly as you do when's I believe it to be of such insignificance. Despite all of these things that I don't like, I don't find them to be necessarily "wrong" however.

The reason why I ask...Is because I want to better myself, in understanding people...and better ways to communicate my flaws to transition them to positive ways...I came in this website and forum, a little overbearing...and wish to portray more positive ways of explaining my positions/views...

I agree also that two people become one.. Yet, so many people "settle" alot of times, before they find that one... I believe, that to find someone you can call your soulmate, you have to have the same morals, be passionate about life in general, the same core values...and a belief that relationships are about being open, communicating and compromising.
