I am not over reacting, 'done being done'. Euro is a fair part of us. I will back up if it is some sturm about copyright. I would hope 'they' would tell him that.
I also get that the community arguing is not part of moderation.

Did I say something bad to Dutchy? Dutchy knows I'm fond of him.

If that was porn, we are all in trouble.

On my voyeurs comment a while back, I see that was ambiguous. I was thinking that anyone who would trail along through google for cartoons about dominatrixes might have that mode. In any case, I did not think my doing that would be useful.

Time for memories -

my husband was a struggling screenwriter. I was the one earning any money, over many years.. though it got somewhat back to balancing, later, which was what we thought we were doing.

He got a call from a teacher re writing a porn movie. I went ballistic. (You are welcome to disagree with this). I told him I'd leave him and he dropped it. He wasn't a money user, we lived spare. Still.

A couple of years went by with very close calls re getting something made at big studios, and one where I consider his script stolen, not once but twice, and he got another call to write a semi porny thing. This wasn't so problematic, so I didn't squawk. It's out there as a sort of horrible wonderful cult thing. There was a dominatrix in it.

Why do I bring this up? The writer was clueless. And I'm no innocent re detecting that.

OMG - what an "over the top" response to a non-issue... it was a freaking cartoon, for God's sake! Talk about DRAMA QUEENS. Questioning your 'moral standards"??? Good heavens! By all means, Moderators, deactivate his freaking account. Please.

I think you are out to lunch on this, Mame.

As you said yourself, a guy got aced because of a cartoon.

A lot of us liked the guy, took him seriously, and still do.

Many of us, searchable, did not think the cartoon was any kind of problem.

We are not happy, whether or not you are ready to toss the fellow off as a no account because of some dart for posting a cartoon. Many of us somewhat know him and this all is massively stupid.

We should not fight about this. Euro thanked all of us for supporting him. I think he reacted against the moderators because he is relatively new to A2K. I reacted badly the first time I had something deleted, but then I realized it doesn't really matter. I have since seen so much happen on A2K that nothing here fazes me anymore. If Euro had been a veteran A2Ker, he would have ignored the whole thing.

He is not all that new and is well regarded, a person contributing all the time, with a lot of time going into doing that. Perhaps he needs a more pearlescent hide, but that shouldn't be a requirement.
This was a mess up. I would like to see him invited back.

Hi folks, I'm sad to see you all fighting over this, I've tried to play it down and not make an issue of it. It was my decision, I was not forced in to it, I took the decision to quit of my own free will. So please, please stop arguing over the rights and wrongs of it.
I don't even really give a damn about the stupid cartoon. Quite simply I REFUSE to be policed by UNACCOUNTABLE moderators and that is that. My choice, nobody else to blame, my choice.
