If I want to give a cop a good tough sounding first name, which of these names sound tougher - Toby or Terry? Please help. Thank you.
@JGoldman10,
Actually, both sound pretty wimpy. (Although I once knew a Toby [nickname, not given name] who was anything but wimpy. Phi Beta Kappa at Boston U., cum laude Harvard Law.) My pick: Tom.
@Lustig Andrei,
Tommy? That might work. I am looking for a name that starts with T and ends with Y.
@JGoldman10,
Names ending in Y do not sound tough.
@JGoldman10,
Either Tommy or Teddy would work. But not, please, please, Tracy!
@LionTamerX,
That's my MAIN character's name.
Terry has a nice ring to it- I think I will go with that.
Tony is the only tough sounding name that begins with a T and ends with a Y. It evokes Tony Montana, aka Scarface, and Tony Soprano.
Terry is the least tough sounding name.
@Gargamel,
Terry sounds like a good COP name.
I take it back- TOBY I think is a better fit.
@JGoldman10,
Toby is worse than Terry. Toby is the name of the kid who always pukes in class.
@Gargamel,
Okay, then what T-name would you go with? I am looking for a name that starts with T and ends with Y.
Timmy
That way Lassie can save them

You're not paying attention. But anyway, Tootsy.
