Philly Fans Make Player's Fiancee Cry

<from nfl.com>

His father, Clay Matthews Jr., was a hero in Cleveland. His brother,
Clay Matthews III, is adored in Green Bay. But things haven't gone as
smoothly for Eagles linebacker Casey Matthews during a trying rookie
campaign.

High expectations were attached to the fourth-rounder from the outset,
primarily because of the family connection.

It hasn't gone as planned.

Planted into an Eagles defense that's struggled all season, Casey
played himself out of starting roles at both middle and weakside
linebacker, drawing ire from the Eagles' hyper-agitated fan base.

"It's hard. One of the earlier games, they harassed my family and made
my fiancee cry," Matthews told Philly.com this week. "It's tough. It's
frustrating. That's just how they are here. If you win they love you,
so I guess we've just got to turn things around and just start winning
again."

There is still plenty of time to get picks from Spendius and EhBeth; almost 48 hours.
Collectively, we seem to see this as a pretty easy week. Only the NYG @ Dallas game on Sunday night is close to being a tossup.
Here is where we are in the race for 2nd place:
2) Ragman (.667) differs from George on (3) games, Wandeljw (4), Tico (4) and Fbaezer (1).
3) George (.661) is at odds with Wandeljw (5), Tico (3) and Fbaezer (4).
3) Wandeljw thinks differently from Tico (6) and Fbaezer (3).
5) Tico (.656) and 6) Fbaezer (.654) disagree on (5) games.

I am not at all sure this means anything, but it does fill up some space.

@George,
You gotta love these fans haven't you George?

I suppose the fiancee cried because she sensed that the standards she was anticipating from Casey's fame might have to be downgraded.

There are a lot more failures than successes. There's no success like failure some say.

WEEK #14 PREDICTIONS-
I am listing 2 games as tossups this go round; TB @ Jax and NYJ @ Dal. In each case we split 11-10 in favor of the visiting team.
We all thought Pittsburgh would win and we are unanimous in picking the Patriots, Ravens and Packers. Only Jespah thinks the Vikings will win against the Lions. George and Rhys are, of course, going for the Chiefs at the Jets. Osso and Spendius have the Titans vs the Saints and EhBeth and Mis Cowdoc select the Rams over the Seahawks.
Cowdoc, Edgar and Johnboy agree on all 14 of the non tossup games while several players are out of step with the majority on 4 of the 14 games.

@realjohnboy,
no Coin Toss this week? I could ask Brenda Lee to do some tossing at the barber shop Christmas concert tonight if there are no other Coin Toss options.

Hi, Hi. How Have Things Turned This Time? (H-H-H-H-T-T-T-T, get it?)
Week #13 has not been kind to me so far. I am 6-9 and have the Jaguars tonight.
Thanks to Cicerone for flipping for me.
Next week, JohnBoy has lined up a celebrity tosser named Gustavratzenhofer to help me. I don't know him. I understand he appears periodically and then disappears for a spell. Brigadoon like. Remember the musical, Brigadoon? It was about an Irish village that would appear every once in awhile and then would disappear into the mist after just one day. An old guy (JohnBoy, in his performance) explains this secret about the village to a mystified audience well into act 1. Two travelers show up and one of them falls in love with a local girl.
But I digress. Gus lives in a swamp, in a cabin with a porch slanted towards the brackish, smelly water. It might be only a foot deep, but a coin that rolls the wrong way might never be seen again unless Gus needs spare change really badly. I would be terrified to go there, quite frankly. But I digress again.
In Week #14, I am going with Pitt, NE, KC, Cincy, Balt, Car, TB, NO, Mia, Minn, AZ, Den, GB, Buff, NYG, Sea.
