@wandeljw,
Quote:
Why should anyone be concerned about spendius and his pub?

Because it's more interesting than a bunch of millionaire sandwich-board men running around on a patch of grass chasing a ball about and who daren't talk real in case the papers get a hold of it. It's just an improvement on betting on raindrops running down windows. It's unwatchable without a financial interest surely? It's completely stupid. 4th and 2 at the 1---thud!!! That's how buffalos pair off. Only not with 80,000 nutters roaring.

They should at least have the cheerleaders on the red button.

@spendius,
CoinToss has never heard of either of those dudes. Flipping a coin gives the nod to George V.

@realjohnboy,
I anticipate hearing what Coin-Toss has to say regarding Denver and Detroit.

@realjohnboy,
Rightie ho. I shall place the coin in a ceremonial dish on the magic island in the river where I will assemble a few pals to chant some lines at the moon from the Ingoldsby Legends, the vicar will declaim a verse from the Old Testament, the usual one, it's the only one he knows, something about the wall of Balbus, and Doris will howl at the Milky Way with her corsets round her ankles, crowned with a wreath of flowers and holding a palm leaf in one hand and a white arum lily in the other.

If that doesn't beat 7--6 I don't know what will.

@spendius,
Good luck not losing the coin, old chap.

Meantime, a sports photography interlude from Magnum photographers, 22 photos of fans at games.

My present favorite of the batch of photos, but you have to pick your own (sort of fun to figure who would pick what photo):

I met some folks from Mali once (well, actually, twice) and they urged me to visit there. I never had the impulse, since I'm an italy robot, but I wish I could have talked with them longer. They were in Florence and Rome, oddly at both hotels I stayed at (similar good taste, what?) - very formal couple in native clothing, visiting the FAO for some meeting.

@ossobuco,
No 7. The gentle British Bobby.

The dedication of the coin went slightly awry as Doris had her roll-ons on because the hooks and eyes of her corsets had been damaged doing Knees Up Mother Brown last Saturday night. The vicar had to help her roll them off so he sang She's A Lassie from Lancashire and Doris chattered like a lemur monkey.

That seems to be the scientific explanation of the unusual sequence of tosses which resulted---TTTTTT for early games, HHHHH for late games, T for even later game and H for Monday's game.

Obviously H signifies the team playing at home. Hence--

Dolphins
Jaguars
Colts
Vikings
Saints
Cardinals

Broncos
Bills
Steelers
49ers
Seahawks

Cowboys

Chiefs.

@spendius,
I thought you'd pick no. 6.

No. 5 bothers me, as I think that's the building the jews were hauled to for further transport - not of course in that photo.

Coin-Toss seems in error on some flips, but who can tell these days.

@Ragman,
I'm not sure why I entered it this way (other than being occasionally brain dead) but please change my pick to San Diego over KC.

@Ragman,
Done. You are in 3rd place and I am in 2nd an we are separated by a mere 1 win. Unless we change picks, we disagree on 3 games this week.
I hope that Panzade will post his picks this year.

@Ragman,
If you would simply make a list of the 13 teams you think will win it would make Johnie's already difficult task a little easier as I think would listing them in the same order he does. With no changing allowed.
