Spendi-you are such a ******* arsehole.

I thought I could make it through the season rjb. I thought this would be a fun game. But NOOOO!
Spendi has to intimate that I missed last week on purpose, that I would do practically anything to STEAL HIS title.
I'll tell you what I'll do spendi, since you're convinced that I missed last week on purpose(Oh by the way, with Baltimore's loss I missed 5)... I'll recuse myself from the game. You know why spendi? So I don't have to listen to you complain for 3 more months.
Life's just too short for that crap.

@panzade,
I did not intimate that you had missed a week "on purpose". I did not for a moment suggest you would do anything to win my Title. It never entered my head that you would do either of those things.

The game is Pick-Um. How can 67-23 be ahead of 72-31 at picking-Um. All I pointed out is that it doesn't make sense. I wasn't complaining. I have been complimented on my mid-week contributions by the thread master.

The players in the NFL play to win. We all expect them to at least. A game involving the NFL should be played to win. Tico said he intended "whupping my ass". And I praised him for doing so.

It's anti-American to be playing for fun.

Now calm down eh? Your indignation should be directed at yourself for missing the week. Nobody else missed. You're the odd man out. Copying coin-toss would have landed you on 74-29 and that can be done in less than a minute if you had been pressed for time when you made your other Thursday posts.

You are threatening to spoil the game because anybody who wins my title this year will have a hollow victory if you take your ball home.

I only entered the game in the first place to gain a better understanding of American football and American culture. Suggesting improving tweaks to the game is not demanding that they are adopted. That's what drives capitalism and Science.

I am well aware that the patriotic loyalty of the other players will inhibit them from coming in on the side of a ******* arsehole Limey. It's a cross I have to bear.

I have no intention of apologising or pleading with you. You owe it to yourself to stay in the game.

Most of us took a bit of a beating on last week's results and you didn't. I don't think you should stay in the No1 spot. You belong with the others on 67 correct picks. It was a personal foul.

I should bloody well hope not. The thought of being taken seriously absolutely appals me. I'm an English intellectual for ****'s sake.

@George,
It's not me that bugs pan George. It is his own mistake in not submitting his picks on time like the rest of us did. There's no way he forgot. rjb reminds us even on Saturdays although I can't understand why.

But I understand your patriotic solidarity with him even if it defies logic and simple common sense.

And your allusion to terrorism is uncalled for and you should be ashamed of yourself for making it. If I was to provide you with a CV you would see that I am the polar opposite.

Defend pan remaining in No1 spot. That's what a grown up person would do. And defend him sulking off in the face of a bit of leg-pulling.

Patriotism has nothing to do with it. It's just that most of the other players aren't arseholes. It's the cross we have to bear.

@Ticomaya,
I resemble that remark!

Firstly, he can't be an arsehole 'cause an arsehole has a purpose - it removes waste. Spendius has not proven that he has a use yet.

@Ticomaya,
So I presume Tico that you think pan should remain in top spot having picked fewer winning teams than some others. I can't believe it. Now he has pulled out with his bottom lip going sixty to the dozen he will win my title unless one of us can beat .744.

Are you actually maintaining that I don't have a point? I'm not bothered about being called an arsehole. I've been called a lot worse things than that. And one risks having to bear a cross by venturing into an open debate and game playing site unless you demand that everyone else toes your own line. Better stay out of pubs mate with that attitude.

I've told a few people here about this dispute and they all laughed. I'm for giving pan 7--6 and going from there. He was out of the game when he didn't show up just as an NFL team would be if it won its first three games and sat back on 1.000.

@panzade,
C'mon, Panz, recusing yourself just punishes the rest of us. You're a favorite poster of many of us, both smart and courteous in a real way.

@ossobuco,
Yes--C'mon panz--it's only a bit of fun. It's revealing I'll admit. Accept the 7--6 I've generously offered and apologise to us all for missing the deadline. Be a sport.

It's obvious osso thinks I have a point. She's a sport.

You don't think I have a point then osso?

Incredible!! I don't believe you support someone not showing up for the game and flouncing off in an indignant thrumm shouting base insults over his shoulder before slamming the door.

In that case I've been reading you wrong for a long time. No wonder American cops are tough. Holding the line must be hard work.

@spendius,
In the past, if someone has missed several games, RJB has precluded that person from winning.
This thread is a pleasant pastime for us and RJ is the rules person. The rest of us understand forgetting to post.
You are out of line with your comments.
I regret answering, thus feeding your inner troll.
