@spendius,
WTF? Huh? I can't tell whether or not you're attempting some humor.
But ...
TB Bucs already had won the game. My hope was to have finally predicted and nailed an exact score My comment was meant as humorous.

Besides, my team is the Pats, being from Boston. I referred to the local TB metro area (as being local to me) as that is where I've lived now for 18 months. I have sold out nothing.

@Ragman,
I was only kidding Rago. To make a general point. I bet a few times against England to test out my patriotic fervour. With £££s on the line it was non-existent.

@spendius,
NP...hard to see expressions on here.

In this case, I 'voted' for the local team..and had them in the tiebreaker by a TD advantage. I just didn't want to lose out on the first prediction by me of an exact score.

I'll be hard pressed this coming week with Pats-Jets games. In my view of team sports psychology, NY Jets are due to come back from a total breakdown.Unless, of course, that they suck as badly as they have been so far this season. They seem to have rallied in the past against the Pats. However the game is at the Pats house...so maybe not this time.

Interesting to note that statistically, this NFL season seems to be disproportionately oriented towards passing and offense. Seems that on the whole most teams have no idea how to tackle or keep from coughing up the ball. These first 4 games NFL teams have produced more total yardage and worse defense than most other years in the past.

WEEK #4 RESULTS-
Ragman wins the gold star this week. He and Edgar went 13-3 (missing the same three games). Tampa Bay scored 27 points, good enough for Ragman to win the tiebreaker. He joins Region, Panzade and Wandeljw as weekly winners.
The gang of 7 were right behind at 12-4: Region, JPB, Mysteryman, Wandeljw, Liontamerx, CoastalRat and Panzade.
Osso, Jespah, EhBeth, Ms Cowdoc and AndyClubber (the only guy in the group) came in at 11-5.
Johnboy, Spendius, George, Tico and Cowdoc finished at 10-6, while Rhys and McGentrix managed to break .500 at 9-7.
And then there was Ms Cowdoc who at 8-8 who might as well have been picking at random. Perhaps she was, but CoinToss/CoinToss - who was picking at random - did very well: 12-4.
The best ESPN dude was 13-3 while the worst was 10-6.
This was our best week as a group, despite our racking up a lot of red ink with our miscues in picking Philly, Buffalo and Minnesota. We finished at .685 which bested the .676 we racked up in Week #2.

I used up an inordinate amount of Wite-Out in compiling this. Let me know if I have screwed up the...
STANDINGS AFTER 4 WEEKS -
1) Ragman (46-18 .719) claims a share of the lead; climbing from 5th
1) Panzade is back in 1st also after slipping to 2nd last week
3) Johnboy (45-19 .703) is 1 game back after a week at the top
3) Osso drops from 2nd
5) JPB (44-20 .688) is a game further back inching up from 6th
5) George dips from a tie for 2nd
7) Region (43-21 . 672) advances from 8th
7) Wandeljw matches that
9) Mysteryman (.656) wins the Biggest Pop Thing - up 4 from 13
10) Spendius (.641) is down from 8th
10) Cowdoc has the same result for the week
10) McGentrix slumps from 6th
13) Liontamerx (.625) gains a notch from 14th
13) CoastalRat does the same
15) EhBeth (.609) moves down from 14th
15) AndyClubber keeps space
15) Fbaezer gets the Biggest Choke Thing - crashing from 8th
18) Tico (.594) slides from 14th
18) Edgar gets only a 2 notch bounce after his excellent week
20) Rhys (.563) is killing us in Fantasy NFL but is down 19th
21) Jespah (.531) remains in 21st
22) Ms Cowdoc (.516) is still in the cellar
The best ESPN guy is doing well. He is in the tie for 1st. The lowest expert is the tie for 13th. CoinToss/CoinToss (.578) would be ahead of Rhys in 19th.

Sorry, Pancho. I listed Ms Cowdoc (11-5) as also going 8-8. You, who lives in the column next door, went 8-8.

CoinToss/CoinToss had a good week in Week #4. I am looking for someone here to volunteer to help with the flipping in Week #5. An A2K account was set up. If you want to post in CT's own words you need to log out of your account and log in as CoinToss/CoinToss (password: cointoss). If that is too much trouble, post the picks under your own name.

realjohnboy wrote:

As a new feature here at no additional cost, you - yes you - can be CoinToss/CoinToss for the week! How cool is that?
Rules (yes, there are rules. I love rules):
1) You must be the 1st to declare that you will be making CT/CT's picks.
2) You must describe in detail the coin you are using.
3) You must post CT/CT's picks with any narrative - which is expected - being gender neutral. That is tougher then it seems, I assure you.
Let me know if you are interested.

It would be great if you and edgar could recruit Letty to be cointoss/cointoss.
