@Walter Hinteler,
Thank you for posting them, Walter!

If Bob wouldn't have liked his pictures taken or posted, he'd say so, no need to
insinuate anything, osso.

@CalamityJane,
Did I say he wouldn't?

Insinuate?

@Diane,
how you doin', Auntie M...?

I found myself getting ready to call Bob again today.

I went over to this really cool pond out in the burbs to swap plants and fish. reached for my phone on the way home, and then put it back.

wishing you calm breezes and sunny days...

@Rockhead,
Hey, Rocky, I know you have taken this very hard and I'm so sorry, but you did get lots done on your house and garden with Bob there every step of the way.

He touched so many lives and yours was one of the special ones.

@dlowan,
Bob went up and down a lot. Some days he seemed to have all sorts of life in him.

In those pics, he had the company of Walter and Walter's adorable wife, Ulla. Bob always enjoyed talking about the southwestern land he loved and he enjoyed mapping out certain tours through the mountains and high desert for Walter, then listening to Walter report on the trip.

@Diane,
Yes, Bob posted about Walter's visit to a special place he recommended, Diane, & was very pleased with Walter's response to what he saw.
(about halfway down this page.)

That's what I thought, too - and actually, compared to the two weeks I've seen him in September, I really thought that he was doing (generally) better three, four years ago.

saddened to discover this news, late and by chance. i only peek in to a2k once every few weeks. each time i do, i look up a few people, dys was always one of them. and more so lately.
some people you meet and it does not matter when it was, time is irrelevant, it floats throughout your life as if it was yesterday. forever richer for knowing him.
I don't know if I can find George Dickel whiskey in Slovakia, but i am sure he would not object if i toasted him with any other. cheers, bob.

Thanks for reposting some of Bob's posts, thanks for the pictures, and thanks especially for everyone sharing your memories of a most remarkable man.

I will certainly look forward to a taste of one of those tomatos, Diane.

@Diane,
I couldn't have made the cabin go without him...

mr vw told me the next time I go over there, that he has a purple smoke tree start to give me.

I had promised Bob I would put one in next to the pond...

@PDiddie,
Perry, I haven't heard anything more about a gathering here in September, but you and Sue are welcome anytime.

We will have that salad.

@dagmaraka,
Dasha, if you can't find Dickel, look for Maker's Mark, his second favorite, just be sure to toast the cowboy. He loved you, you know.
