@coldjoint,
That is true in rare cases, "some parents" receive money to feed their children and blow it on bingo, the lottery or other wasteful luxuries. This is rare but it does happen... This is why we have government within our schools. There are school nurses and other social regulations set up, by the government via the people, to observe children and their health and make certain that parents aren't neglecting their duty to feed and maintain their children's best possible health.
If corporations ran our schools do you think they would have the same concern for their future and past worker's health?
Government standards and regulations set by the labor unions are the only catalysts that have worked to improve worker conditions and these worker's rights have traditionally been nearly unanimously opposed by corporations seeking only to increase their own profits at the expense and the health of the general work force (and the environment) ...
It seems "Cold", you are using arbitrary facts and rare occurrences to build a mountain out of a molehill. Most parents feed their children when they are provided with a reasonable means.
The only parents I see starving their children are the corporations who are short changing the middle class...
Since the middle class is really the parent this is particularly bad, these are the corporations not just starving many children but also starving countless elderly parents.. sound familiar? This is exactly what the GOP is doing in attaching the social safety-nets of medicare, social security and food stamps....
The GOP is no more than a self professed "caregiver" that neglects their duty to care for both the elderly and the young...
