@Brandon9000,
For all the good it did. The information was kept elsewhere. They've not stopped The Guardian printing anything.

We have the BBC, a broadcaster that is respected worldwide, you have Fox News, a propaganda machine that would not look out of place in North Korea.

Links? Impeachment talk started on MSNBC and other Dems

Links? Then we can check the date of your links with the dates of when GOP legislators called for impeachment.

I guess I would consider this by the entire South Dakota Republican party to be part of the party leadership.

@parados,
I don't think the SD GOP leadership has any influence on the party politics. There are many extremists in both parties, and I wouldn't add too much weight on what any extremist says whether they're conservative or liberal. They have no influence or power. At only stinks up the airwaves.

A good answer on Yahoo Answers about this very subject.

Yes, I do. It is only the fringe idiots on both teams who make the news.. Unfortunately, some people are so partisan that they think all liberals are like the fringe or all conservatives are like the fringe. These are also folks who think that Democrat = liberal and Republican = conservative.

A lot this nonsense is courtesy of pundits and bloggers who are paid to stir the pot of discontent.

We made a video of just a handful of mentions on MSNBC from July 29-31 and attached it to this story.

Not all the mentions, we should note are created equal. For instance, we caught Lawrence O’Donnell playing clips of Republicans suggesting impeachment.

I guess impeachment talk started on MSNBC when they played clips of Republicans suggesting it. That solves the chicken/egg theory. Now if only Baldimo could argue that MSNBC force the Republicans to call for impeachment.

It has quite a bit of influence since it is the SD convention that picked the candidates in SD for US Senate and US House that won.

Exactly.

In any case, my original remark was, "I would not be astonished if (the GOP attempted an impeachment.)"

ANYONE who would be astonished if they did has simply not been following what the rabid right has been doing for the last six years.

@parados,
So did the Tea Party, but they're now in conflict with the GOP which is more a war than concensus. Adding another layer of disagreements doesn't empower their party politics.

Hillary Clinton is still the favourite to win the next election with odds of 5/4 on. Basically there's not much point putting money on at those odds, stake of £4 just to get £5 back if she wins. 2nd favourite is Jeb Bush 10/1 against, if they can afford to offer odds like that they don't think he's got a cat in Hell's chance, they are businessmen after all.

The Guardian has been prevented from reporting parliamentary proceedings on legal grounds which appear to call into question privileges guaranteeing free speech established under the 1688 Bill of Rights.

Today's published Commons order papers contain a question to be answered by a minister later this week. The Guardian is prevented from identifying the MP who has asked the question, what the question is, which minister might answer it, or where the question is to be found.

The Guardian is also forbidden from telling its readers why the paper is prevented – for the first time in memory – from reporting parliament. Legal obstacles, which cannot be identified, involve proceedings, which cannot be mentioned, on behalf of a client who must remain secret....

@Brandon9000,
So you have to go back two years to find something that was eventually overturned. Overzealous lawyers were to blame, and they were defeated.

Neither of the two events I've reported could have happened in the US to begin with because the first amendment to the Constitution guarantees freedom of the press.

And you've got Fox News, a channels that broadcasts lies and propaganda.

Why, if your amendment is so bloody marvellous, do people around the World watch the BBC and pay no attention to American news channels?
