@RexRed,
I thought that last one, EBOLA WILL KILL US ALL was a liberals made up quote, but it's not! They even blocked funding to combat ebola.

Those guys are nuts!

Republican senators seek to block funds to combat Ebola
by HunterFollow

Ebola is an existential threat that will kill us all unless Obama does a number of things right now, and we are all outraged that the government is not doing more to protect us, and even as we speak Ebola could be sneaking across our southern border headed for Arkansas (because all foreign threats gravitate toward Arkansas), and by the middle of next week Fox News will have devolved into a Lord of the Flies-esque free for all in which the Fox & Friends have run amok and are now biting the other hosts because they've gotten Ebola and zombieism mixed up and are convinced they've come down with both. It's that serious.
But never mind all that, because some Republican noticed that responding to Ebola would cost money.

Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), ranking member of the Armed Services Committee, has withheld approval of the funds in the Senate, saying that it would add demands on a defense budget already stretched thin.
A spokeswoman for Inhofe said Thursday that there is no change in his decision after approval from the other committees.

If we stopped Ebola, you see, it means we would have to not bomb somewhere else. You can see the dilemma. Sen. David Vitter is also not on board with the plan to help quell the Ebola outbreak. In his case it's because he thinks we shouldn't be bothering to help shut the epidemic down in West Africa, he thinks we should just seal our borders and let things play out as they may. Not really kidding on that one.

@coldjoint,
Please don't use Fox News to advance your stupidity.

I am not a roman catholic but when the pope says something I agree with I will post it.

I am non partisan and a free thinking person, unlike you, who are spoon fed only your Fox News, fear mongering, hate the poor, white racist, tripe.

And for the record, I also "strongly" and equally "disagree" with the catholic church indoctrinating children...

@woiyo,
What's the matter, don't you love the American way? You hate the Constitution and its equal access, liberty and freedom loving bend? The Tea Party by your definition shouldn't be allowed to vote and half of Congress, mostly the Teapublican half should be never allowed near a voting booth. Explain Ms Palin's qualifications to vote. Louis Gohmert, Ted Cruz's right to vote?

@Lustig Andrei,
We're in a lot more trouble because the smart people don't vote than we are because dumb ones do.

I considered the CIA, my wife spent 30 years with the CIA. I was a lot more"liberal" then than I am now. I'm a fourth generation Republican. This Democracy will only work for our Republic if we vote. No Communist plot will ever shake us into a fascist state, but ignoring our governance will. Not voting allows us to be ignored and taken over without a murmur. At that point we will be like Sir Robert Peel described us: "the public is an ass." And that is how those who are laboring to disenfranchise classes of American feel about most voters. Imagine. the Teapublicans who are anti-tax want to tax segments of our population without representation! The ironically name Tea Party wants segments of our population unrepresented!

Everyone should be allowed to vote. Even if we are a nation of nitwits we should all be out there voting. I'd never keep cj from voting. I realize that 90%of the time my vote gets canceled by a mope just like him here in Marble Falls. But that's the nature of democracy, we aren't cast in stone nor are we all cast from the same molds, but I do believe in the Capitalistic nature of democracy, that we need to market our our values and then vote on them. Participation is a key thing in a democracy, without it democracy devolves into something else.

Like you, I am a progressive center left, whereas cj is from Mars.
