@RexRed,
Couldn't have said it any better myself! Good on ya.
I used to be a conservative once upon a time when the GOP really believed in small government, self sufficiency, and less government intrusion into private lives. They've become the opposite of those goals. Just look at how the GOP administrations spent more money, grew the government, and created greater deficits for our country.

Why more people can't "see" all this turn-around is a mystery of our times.

They've even become hateful, and now mixes religion with politics. They want to control women's bodies, their vaginas, and don't want equality for all Americans.

They have become the "NO Party," and our government has the lowest rating in our history.

One more thing. The GOP practiced voter suppression during our last election, and nobody, NOBODY in their party, said it was wrong.

There's no c........

Conservatives are so easy to anger these days. Even the most insignificant statement gives them temper tamtrums. So, if you want to see Conservatives make fools of themselves, just say any of the following:

- 9/11 happened on George W. Bush’s watch, therefore he did NOT keep America safe.
- A Socialist wrote the Pledge of Allegiance.
- Abortion is a relevant medical procedure, just ask Rick Santorum.
- Africa is the birthplace of the human race.
- America is a nation of immigrants, therefore we are all anchor babies.
- Barack Obama is the first African-American President, get over it.
- Barack Obama ordered the killing of Osama Bin Laden. It took him two and half years to do what Bush couldn’t do in eight.
- Bush held hands with the King of Saudi Arabia.
- Churches should stay out of politics, or be taxed.
- Corporations are NOT people. People are people.
- Corporations care more about profits than they do about people.
- Democrats take care of the sick. Republicans take their credit cards and then deny them medical attention.
- Dinosaurs walked the Earth before Jesus did.
- Evolution is real.
- Federal law trumps state law.
- Fox News is owned by an Australian and has a Saudi prince as an investor.
- Fox News isn’t real news, it’s just a racist, sexist, hateful, right-wing propaganda machine.
- Getting out of a recession requires government spending.
- Global warming is real.
- God is a particle.
- Greed is one of the seven deadly sins and Republicans wallow in it.
- Hate is not a Christian virtue.
- Health care is a right, not a product.
- I think therefore I am NOT a Republican.
- Jesus had brown skin and he didn’t speak English.
- Jesus healed the sick and helped the poor, for free.
- Jesus was a liberal.
- Labor unions built this country.
- Michael Moore is the greatest documentary maker of all-time.
- Muslims are protected by the Constitution, just as much as Christians.
- Paying taxes is patriotic.
- President Obama saved the American auto industry, Republicans want to destroy it.
- Public schools educate all children; private schools indoctrinate children.
- Reagan legalized abortion as Governor of California.
- Reagan raised taxes eleven times as President.
- Reagan was president of a labor union.
- Reagan saved Social Security.
- Reagan supported gun control.
- Republican politicians love their government-run health care.
- Republicans are hypocrites.
- Republicans complain about immigrants taking American jobs, then freely give American jobs to foreigners overseas.
- Republicans controlled government in the 1920′s, lowered taxes on the wealthy, and caused the Great Depression; now they’ve done it again.
- Republicans don’t want to pay for your birth control, but they want you to pay for their Viagra.
- Republicans hate illegal immigrants, unless they need their lawns mowed or their houses cleaned.
- Republicans have their own terrorists, just look up Timothy McVeigh.
- Republicans invaded Iraq for oil, so Iraq should be allowed to invade Texas to get it back.
- Republicans love outsourcing, just ask the Chinese Communists.
- Republicans only care about children BEFORE they are born.
- Republicans say teachers are union thugs, then proceed to rape and mug the entire middle class on behalf of corporations.
- Republicans spend MORE money than Democrats.
- Republicans think rape isn’t a crime, but miscarriages are.
- Republicans are Anti-Gay Marriage, Pro-Lesbian sex.
- Republicans have peddled the same failed economic policies since 1880.
- Roe v. Wade was a bipartisan ruling made by a conservative leaning Supreme Court.
- Separation of church and state is in the Constitution, it’s called the First Amendment.
- Social Security is solvent through 2038.
- The Christian-Right boycotts movies that have violence, and then promotes guns and insurrection.
- The Civil War was about slavery, NOT state’s rights.
- The Constitution is the law, NOT the Bible.
- The current corporate tax rate is the lowest in 60 years, so stop whining about it being too high.
- The Earth is 4.54 billion years old, not 6,000.
- The Founding Fathers were liberals and supported socialized medicine.
- The Oval Office is NOT a “whites only” office.
- The President is NOT a Muslim.
- The President's name is Barack Hussein Obama and he was born in the United States.
- The Republican answer to the oil spill was to apologize to BP, a foreign oil company.
- The South lost the Civil War, get over it.
- The white race isn’t disappearing, it’s evolving.
- Voter disenfranchisement is immoral and un-American, that’s why Republicans do it.
- When Republicans see black, they attack.
- Women are equal citizens who deserve equal rights.
- Women control their own bodies.
- Yay! Nut-job Glenn Beck is no longer on Fox!

Bottom line? If you want to piss off a Conservative, tell them the truth.

Smile

It was announced today that liberalism may be genetically determined.

A lengthy article in the current issue of "HEY !" threatens to overshadow the announcement by Government scientists that there might be a hidden dormant gene for compassion in men.

Reports of the gene codes which predispose one to liberal views were discovered after a long study in Brite Orange County CA, has sent shock waves through medical, political and yuppie communities.
Psychologists have long believed the "off-the-wall" liberals' unnatural and frequently unconstitutional radical tendencies resulted from an unhealthy family life - a remarkably high percentage of liberals had whimpy and submissive fathers, as well as latent lesbian mothers who didn't teach them traditions at all. Biologists have long suspected that liberal tendencies are inherited. "After all" said one author of the article, "It's quite common for such a free spirit to have a brother or sister who also has such distorted views."
The finding has been greeted with a sigh of relief by parents, family & friends of liberals, who have tended to blame themselves for the twisted political views of otherwise lovable people. One mother, a life-long Conservative, with two liberal sons, clasped her hands in ecstasy upon hearing of the findings. "I just knew it was a freak of nature," she said, "I knew my boys wouldn't actually choose that kind of lifestyle!"
Despite the near certainty of the medical community about these genetic origins, troubling issues remain. The article offered no reason for the startlingly high incidence of liberals found among siblings of the Yuppie Community. It remains to be explained why so many avowed Liberals vote Republican occasionally - or at least fantasize about doing so.
Surprisingly, some are hailing the findings as a step forward rather than an invitation to deny liberals their civil rights; to which normal, sane people are entitled.

Other free thinkers, recalling early scientific studies to test the mental instability of hippies (long established to be the fore-runners of today's yuppies, only with no material goods), find the frenzied search for the biological cause of liberalism pointless, if not downright sinister. But for most real Americans, the discovery opens a window on a much brighter tomorrow. In a few years, gene therapy could help these hapless souls, & eventually, eradicate liberals altogether; bringing peace to the world.

@RexRed,

When has any liberal ever shown love for any of its neighbors?

BTW, Clinton would disagree, but rape is not a form of loving thy neighbor.

LOL!

My best Pelosi impersonation: Are you serious?

Obamacare is the equivalent of being raped and then told that you the victim were just asking asking for it.
BOHICA.

RR, you really need to educate yourself about Obamacare and see just how fast it is
destroying this countries health care system and how it is harming millions of Americans.

Obama the super liberal does not give a flying fornication about your health.

@RexRed,
The better question is, when has any conservative shown any love for his neighbors?
GOP: a) against equal rights for gays and lesbians, b) take away a woman's right to control her own body, c) don't tax the rich, because that's a redistribution of wealth to the poor, d) advocate for more money for defense and wars, e) replace social security with privatization, f) reduce Medicare benefits, and g) no restrictions on buying guns.

Yup, love thy neighbor.

@mysteryman,
By definition, conservatives support the republican party. If not, they're in the wrong party.

However, it's also true that a conservative can lean democratic, because of the confusion of how the GOP has transformed into something other than the "conservative party."

Banned books, hate speech...

Maryland Cyberbullying Bill Is Unconstitutional, Says ACLU
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/14/maryland-cyberbullying_n_3070765.html

Laws against screaming "fire!" falsely in a movie theater are unconstitutional too but these laws save many lives. Threatening bodily harm is also illegal and idle talk of acts of terror can get you locked up for a while...

Why would public bullying be any different? If the outcome is still the death of citizens then the laws need to reflect that danger.

If the laws are vague then specify what types of speech are not permitted.

Sometimes it doesn't take two to tango... Sometimes one is the victim and the other the perpetrator...

A tango is when two willingly dance together, not, one walks away and the other pursues...
