You would cry like a banshee if the Constitution was enforced. People would have to succeed on their merits, not the color of their skin or their irresponsibility and sense of entitlement.

And your option against a regulated constitutional government is an unregulated oligarchy? NO THANKS...

That has been the big lie from the very beginning, cj, and you know it.

"When searching for the documentary record of the “good old days” back when the U.S. Government provided a shining example of honest government to the world, one quickly comes to the realization that those halcyon days never actually existed. In fact, the record of the English and Dutch occupations of North America, which led to the establishment of English colonies and later to the American Revolution are a record of unparallelled brutality and thievery: first of the lands of the aboriginal peoples of the North American continent, and almost immediately, the twin, world-historic crimes of the genocide of the Native American population and the African Slave Trade show that from its very inception, the U.S. Government has been a plague on world civilization and has been responsible for horrendous atrocities throughout its short and hopefully not much longer-lived history."

Though most what you are saying is right, While European colonists were raving the new world their constitutional human rights records back home were just as abysmal if not worse...

It is easy to say America was at its inception an immoral state but what will we compare America with at the time? European colonialism, Napoleon, Alexander, the Islamic conquest of lands, Genghis Khan, Imperial Japan, black African slave traders?

Take your pick...

@parados,
parados,
Are you really that stupid???

You must believe that repubs and the rich have a hidden, neverending supply of clean water, clean air, and food intended solely for their own use.

Perhaps you can enlighten all of us as to where that supply is hidden.

Pertinent points all, Rex. The only difference is that the USA has continued their predation while all the others are long gone history. In fact, one can easily argue that the USA has gotten worse, not better since WWII.

And the thing that makes it so sordidly evil is that there has been this huge lie the whole time that the USA was the good guys, the saviour of the oppressed, the righters of all that was wrong.

ABSOLUTELY FALSE.

How about the 1000 nuclear (weapons grade) bombs tested in the Pacific ocean in the 1940's - 90's?

Besides all the Barbie dolls, toothbrushes and beer can plastic floating in the Pacific garbage patch the size of Texas?

How about US corporations that have been dumping illegally (sometimes even legally) at sea for centuries?

Are you going to blame non-industrialized nations for ocean pollution?

That is what makes me hurt most about my, err, "government".
