@coldjoint,
coldjoint says:
Quote:
“Marx and Engels never tried to refute their opponents with argument. They insulted, ridiculed, derided, slandered, and traduced them, and in the use of these methods their followers are not less expert. Their polemic is directed never against the argument of the opponent, but always against his person.” – Socialism

Sounds like the Democrats and the MSM. Among others...

Funny, I could have sworn they were talking about the Tea Party, the GOP, and WERWZM (Wild-Eyed Right Wing Zealot Media--Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman, Ann Colter, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Ted Cruz, gungasnaKKKe, coldjoint,......

Hmm, on second thought, I think I prefer WaRWiZM (Wacko Right Wing Zealot Media) as an acronym more. "WAR WIZ" somehow seems to encapsulate their mindset better.

He's not to blame for the plane, but he is to blame for a bad economy in which things like going to college and owning a house are drifting out of the reach of ordinary people, for an immense disparity between the rich and the poor, and for a slow erosion of civil liberties (for example, spying on everyone is standard operating procedure).

@Brandon9000,
Brandon: He's not to blame for the plane, but he is to blame for a bad economy in which things like going to college and owning a house are drifting out of the reach of ordinary people, for an immense disparity between the rich and the poor, and for a slow erosion of civil liberties (for example, spying on everyone is standard operating procedure). Which, of course leads us back full circle to Obama being to blame for the missing plane and the inability to find same.

He's not respoonsible for the bad economy either. He's responsible for getting us out of the Great Recession, which was caused by conaservative enoonomiuc principle. The revocery would havbe been quicker and stronger if he hand't been opposed at every steop of the way by the GOP. It persists because
A. hje owners outsourced much of our economy overseas. Beyond his control.
B> The owners computerized many jobs that used to be done by middle-class humans, as well as working-class humans.
/C. The owners kept the profuts for our large gains in productivity to themselves, rather than passing any of them down to their worker bees.
D. The owners downsized their work forces, making people work harder and longer for no more pay, rather than hiring more workers.

Those are not things that right wing economics allows a President to have any control over. If you guys keep insisting the free market is god and you can't limit god, you're not gonna get a better eocnomy., because the peoploe that own it are going to screw you (the Koch brothers are a sase in point).

Yeah, it's not even his fault when he's in his second term, but things are Bush's fault long after he's gone. Obama's just a helpless witness. If what you say were true, the economy would have been like this for a long time instead of getting worse and worse. Whatever he's doing, it's not working.

Nancy Pelosi to Accept Award in the Name of Famed Eugenicist Margaret Sanger

Quote:
Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PP) announced that House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, an alleged Roman Catholic, will be given “the Margaret Sanger Award, the organization’s highest honor, in recognition of her leadership, excellence, and outstanding contributions to the reproductive health and rights movement over the course of her career,” according to a Planned Parenthood website posting.

Quote:
“I accepted an invitation to talk to the women’s branch of the Ku Klux Klan…I saw through the door dim figures parading with banners and illuminated crosses…I was escorted to the platform, was introduced, and began to speak…In the end, through simple illustrations I believed I had accomplished my purpose. A dozen invitations to speak to similar groups were proffered.” (Margaret Sanger: An Autobiography, P.366)

Hero worship is alive and well for this monster and progressive saint

@coldjoint,
I knew that you have been looking, cj. You guys are such poor liars.

-----------------
What I discovered is that this has become a huge right-wing meme on the internet. I was literally overwhelmed with the number of blog posts which vehemently asserted this to be a fact. This has obviously been sparked because of controversies over Planned Parenthood and abortion (although ironically, Sanger herself was opposed to abortion)

I remember what a Republican friend of mine once told me in 1969 or 1970 when I criticized Strom Thurmond for being a segregationist: "Yes, he's a bastard; but he's our bastard" (meaning that he had no problem with Thurmond enjoying a leadership position in the Republican Party).

Incidentally, when President Richard Nixon was seeking to appoint a "strict constructionist Southerner" (i.e., a segregationist) to the Supreme Court, he suggested none other than Senator Robert Byrd himself. A large majority of the other Democrats in the U.S. Senate emphatically rejected Nixon's suggestion.
