which dimension would that be for you guys? The way Im going, my girth is catching up with my heighth.

At 5'6" I don't have much opportunity to call myself tall so I'll grab this one.

The rest of us (Tai Chi, you're an honorary member) need to discuss the angst of being too tall for petite pants, but so short we have to shorten any regular length pants we buy.

Also, soz, you will never "get" the irritation of living in a world where everything, from the adjustable showerhead, to the top shelf of the pantry is always 1 inch beyond your reach.

You've never tried to flip up the page on a wall calendar, trying to put last months page over the nail on the wall that has been hammered in by someone a foot taller than you. We stand on our toes and stretch, but that ******* nail is 1/4 of an inch higher than we can reach.

Or at least it is until we call the person responsible over and ask "How tall are you?....oh really?....Ok, and how tall am I?......uh huh....."

Not too far off, being 5 ft 6 in.

We are small, but mean.

I'm 5'4 1/2", I'm the most vertically challenged member of my family, including nieces and nephews over 10.
Can I be a pseudo member? I've got a short temper and can throw a mean punch. I've got a wicked, angry stare perfected. I can swear like a trucker hauling ass in a rig sans air-conditioning, over searing black top.

I get the rub of your jib, the general distance of your stance.
You have your standards by which you measure others. I see that my garden variety, regular, average joe, median self is to much for you and yours. At this stature of my life, I'm happy to stand up proud and be counted amongst the normal, run-of-the-mill mainstream.
I'll give you your little, wee club and it's shortlist of diminutive members a miss. And I'll not clue you into the mysteries of what lies on the top shelf. Good-bye to tiny, compressed, small minded thinking. I guess pint-sized people need a place to feel good about themselves, and I'll grant you that..
