About the elevator shoes.

Last year I went to lunch with co-worker I'd never met face to face before.

He was a short little **** (no offense to short men, but he was short, AND he was a ****) and at some point I had looked downwards and noticied his shoes. "Oh no!" I thought "He's actually wearing elevator shoes!" I had never seen anyone wearing them before, and they were soooooo obvious.

He had a Nepolean complex anyway. He was really rather pathetic.

scrappy - reminds me of my daughter playing travel softball last summer - she gets up for her second at bat (she was the youngest to make the team) - and the coach on the other side said "Watch out for her, she's scrappy!"

After the game, I asked if she heard that - she said yes, but didn't know what it meant so she wasn't happy about it. I explained what it meant and after that she wore that scrappy title with pride!
