@blueveinedthrobber,
bear, A cynic. A questioner. Not too trusting. Life is safer that way. Honest. Would I lie?

@Roberta,
a cynic is an idealist who's been disappointed once too often, as I've said before.

I fear I lack the intimate acquaintance with Baldrick's thingy that you may clearly boast of.

Very interesting news...but are you sure one ought to, as it were, kiss and tell?

@blueveinedthrobber,
Sorry, gang. I missed a few. Got distracted with that Baldrick or whatever it is person.

Nettie, Only a bit of a bitch. You're not really trying. Give it your all, kid.

Eorl, Stubborn. Unreasonably stubborn? Or stick-to-your-guns, I'm-not-giving-up stubborn?

Chumly, You're confusing me. You're Susan? Help. I need a rest.

Bear, I was gonna disagree with you. But the more I think about it, the more inclined I am to think that you're right.

@Roberta,
I think other people think I'm unreasonably stubborn, whereas I totally disagree. I think once I understand I'm wrong, I back down completely and apologize. But if I can't see I'm wrong, there's no shifting me. Plenty of proof of that on A2K Laughing

@Eorl,
Eorl, We've both been on these boards for a long time, but we've had few encounters. So I'm gonna take your word for it.

So true bear.

I have said at several points in my life "Hope is a terrible thing"

It's fine for small things, or in the short run, but there are times when hoping just makes the failure/disappointment so many times worse.

I suppose another word to describe myself is "Realist"
