@cicerone imposter,
I don't know enough about Pete's activities. I know it involved gambling, but I didn't follow it that closely.

@electronicmail,
Sorry. I still see nothing in any common definitions that qualifies Latinos as white or non-white racially. There are both white and non-white Latinos and/or Hispanics for that matter. I also see no reason to discuss or distinguish white from non-white as relating to this OP topic.

Perhaps what's happening here is that we don't seem to be communicating so I'll bow away.1

@cicerone imposter,
But the Pete Rose issue does not relate to PEDs. He was banned for life by the then Commish-of-baseball. He belongs banned from the HOF as he lied about betting under oath. He bet on baseball as well as betting on his team. He should remain permanently banned from HOF or any baseball activity. Call it a type of crime closely related to insider-trading, which is very much a no-no legality wise.

@Ragman,
I'll do the same but I'll make a last communication effort:
Rafael Nadal is from Spain.
Spain is in Europe.
He's not from Latin America.
Only Latin Americans are called hispanics / latinos.
So Nadal can't be hispanic / latino.

Yeah it's off topic but I was replying to this

FYI, you brought color into the discussion when you wrote:

For reals. They coulda just gotten a rope and gallows, and saved big time.

That was intentional muck-racking on my part. A character defect of mine - sometimes I just like to stir up shyt. The remark about Nadal intended to do nothing but comment on his tennis skill - not a thought to racial anything.

@snood,
Don't they hang white lawbreakers as well as black, right?

Methinks I've stayed too long at the fair. Sad

I could support that.
this would penalize many innocent players who had the misfortune of playing during the steroid era.

the sad thing about bonds is that he was already a hall of fame caliber player before he started cheating...

Nope. First you bring in the **** and then you let innocents like Ragman muck it until they spot your trick and they give up.

Be honest.

That's not the saddest thing. He petitioned Congress no end and agitated to get this hearing. Nobody wanted him there.

Bonds got blinded by too many $$$$$ I agree but the trouble he's in now was caused by him and him alone.

I agree about the other players not being unfairly penalized. His lawyer would be a fool if he appeals the jury verdict.

@electronicmail,
I'm not speaking about baseball - I am talking about your inane arguement of whether this tennis player is Latino, black, gold or from Mars.

Who gives a flying bleep - doesn't matter the background...seems you have a dying need to be right and prove someone else does not know more than you.

Could you tell me specifically what this has to do with baseball....

or am I too stupid (as you seem to enjoy pointing out to others) to understand?

I will make it crystal clear - "WHO CARES whether this Nadal is Spainish, Portegese, black, European or Alaskan?

This is a baseball thread and this is the one item I do not care about.

Is that clear?
