Now I know you’re all thinking – ok linkat has finally gone off the deep end. We knew it was coming, but didn’t realize how bad. But, there have been a lot of negative threads on poor JGoldman.
I honestly don’t think he is that bad. He can be entertaining and sometimes he actually has some good things to say. I’ve even witnessed a slight bit of humor in him. It doesn’t usually come out the most politically correct, but I think he means well. We all have our politically incorrect moments – he just has more than the typical poster.
But seriously, I think he is just very overzealous and passionate about his beliefs. His beliefs are so strong that he loses it in a sense when others don’t see it his way. Maybe he is guilty of feeling too strongly and being too honest in how in disagrees. Maybe if we show him a wee bit of kindness he will turn around.
But he’s cool (in an odd sort of way).

I don't have a problem with him either.
He's just one in the cast of characters in life.
I don't get why others get so upset with him.
He PM'd me once, I didn't respond, he never sent another message (shrugs)
He's been a good springboard for interesting talk.

That's really true. I think most people have a disdain for folks who over emote. JG is sorta missing a couple of social filters.
I don't understand why some posters enjoy slappin' him around.
His interaction with edgarB on the Black sitcom thread was nice.

When he told Green Witch that she was condemned to Hell, I lost any urge to act with restraint towards him.

Well, he's made quite a stir in a short period of time, which probably says more about some members here than it does about him.
I'm not sure what the big deal is.
Linkat says something positive about JG and right away it is thumb down, so is everbody else who says something positive here.
What kind of behavior is that?
When someone says something negative or even really nasty about JG or somebody else there are plenty of thumbs up and many other nasty comments.
The person talked about can see all of it.
Are people behaving the same way in reality? In a group do they openly say negative and nasty things about someone who can hear it and then the rest clap their hands in approval?
There is a big difference in being critical to someone´s opinion and a personal attack.
On A2K it is said openly "I have XYZ on ignore". Would you in real life tell a third person when XYZ sits next to you that you avoid XYZ?

I cant come close to keeping up with the dude, but from what I have seen I'd say that he gives 10 for every one he gets. There is no doubt about who is the aggressor.

OK - so I went ahead and gave everyone a thumbs up. I didn't notice people were being mean to me simply because I can see the good in some one else. I will have to be a more more mean going forward so I can rake in the the thumbs up.
