Dys and Diane
Dys and Diane, we haven't had an update on Dys' recovery progress for a long time. How about telling us how the skinny ass cowboy is doing?

And if he resents being called a skinny ass over the internet repeatedly?

Hey, sorry for no updates lately. The skinny ass (or, as I call him, sweet cheeks) cowboy is doing well with the exception of finding the right level for his medication. It seems to find one extreme or the other. A little more tweaking should fix that problem--which can be serious since a very high level can cause internal bleeding.
He's still very tired, but the wry, dry sense of humor is in full swing. We are looking forward to seeing some a2kers in San Francisco on Easter weekend in April.
Have to go, he's wanting to go out to dinner.

Hoping I get to see Blatham too and Lola if you make it and to nudge some Seattle buds on down too. Plus I am still hoping Wy can make it by hook or by crook.

I think Semiotterly, who(m) some of you know, will be in the area, and I do want to get together with her for sure.
Kara had been thinking about it but said recently she can't make it. Maybe one more nudge...

Will post links one more time in one place for some of the hotels mentioned - or let me at least name them now.
PDiddie and his wife are set for the King George.
I have reservations for the week we first talked about at
The Savoy - but may switch, tap, tap, tap..
Dys and Diane are set for the Nob Hill Motor Inn, to be distinguished from the Nob Hill Hotel, two different places.
The King George and the Savoy and the Rex that CI mentioned are fairly close together, and I think the NHMH is about twelve blocks away. The Rex is a step or two above the other three (it seems).

There are nicer hotels than all of these but so far we all seem to have an eye for lowish. There is always the St. Francis, Stamford Court, Fairmount, Mark Hopkins, Sir Francis Drake, and more, for a bit or a lot more. Plus Radisson, Holiday Inn, etc. (no attempt to check spelling on these). I spout those off but don't know if the oldies are still good, etc.

I think at just a wee bit higher than PDiddie and myself and D/D have been looking at so far are a bunch of boutique hotels, renovated from oldies that had not been goodies for a while - not sure of their names. I think Hotel Cosmo was one, and that that is in the King George/Savoy price level.

CI found a lot of this info originally at hotels.com - which I liked because it tended to have more pictures than other sites.

The Rex is the more upscale of that group, but the parking is pricey if you have a car. Not sure about the parking at the Savoy or the King George. Free at the NHMI.

Actually, I am just thinking maybe everybody doesn't want where they are staying listed on the Old Internet.

I am okay, eyewise. Still healing, it was a bunch of total hours in surgery there, but the vision is presently correctible to 20/40 which is pretty normal. I got all excited for a while because it was still so fuzzy, but I had asked for that eye to have the closer reading vision. A little too close, hah, but at this point I am happy to be getting what I think of as waves of normality in my sense of self.

A little too normal, now I can see the bills (she says, whistling.)

That very thought has crossed my mind more than once, Edgar. More than once.

Wow, if Blatham and Lola, plus the Seattle crew, plus ehbeth make it, we will have a major a2k gathering! The only problem with large groups is getting to really visit with everyone. Still, it will be great to actually put a face with the great people on a2k.
We are looking forward to seeing all of you. Like Osso, I am hard of hearing, so gatherings in a quiet restaurant, make it much easier for me to hear what people are saying. Any suggestions c.i.?
