It'll be a international kibbutz to be sure.

I'll second that Wow!!! Beautiful!!! :-D
You guys are so busy looking at the view that you've overlooked the termperature. Down our way, we've had some snow flurries, but nothing that sticks on the ground at Corazon. The mountains were white yesterday, but already this morning most of the snow is gone. Dys, best move on down to The Crosses where the climate is easier.
When Dys tells us that it's morning in the photo, we can tell he's looking west. Why? If the sun were rising behind those mountains, the sky would be brighter and the mountains cast in shadow. In the photo, the mountains are lit, as is the middle ground, and the sky is still a bit dark. Even more telling are the shadows that point from the base of the two trees in the foreground. They poind toward the mountains, indicating light from a low and behind the camera. By measuring the length and angles of the shadows we might be able to estimate the time, since we have an approximate Latituded and Longetude of the site. To much trouble to do that though.

Asherman, you show the perspicacity of a landscape painter.

JLNobody, that Asherman be.

Navigators know that as well, Asherman
Walter
Walter, good thing Asherman's directional talent is based on his art expertise cause he's always getting lost while driving.

I never have to ask for directions. Of course, since the Sandia Mountains don't move around too much, I can always identify East as uphill on my right. The problem is I keep forgetting if that leaves me facing north, or south.
BTW, when would you like me to cross the Rio to take those photos?
Asherman
Ash, it won't be long now. I'm tackling the garage moving boxes now. I bought 9 large steel storage shelf units to line both sides of the garage so that I can get stuff out of boxes to decide whether or not I want to keep them. My nice neighbor across the street is putting the storage units together for me, which is a huge help. I'm finding lots of art supplies that will probably end up in your studio. So start making room for them.

As a matter of fact, it does. Still rises in the east and sets in the west, though.

Roger, I was, of course, trying to equate Bush's imperial fantasies with the claim of the British Empire--"The sun always rises and sets in the British Empire"--something like that.
Hmmmm, sounds like I'd better start getting some women to join the kibbutz. Actually, some women friends and I have talked about doing something like that--forming a sort of commune, but with individual houses. It would be wonderful to have easy access to our greatest friends.
Ash, you are such a man. No directions for you. I read a cute story of a biology professor asking his class why girl babies are born with all the eggs they'll ever have and why men have to produce millions of sperm everyday. A girl raised her hand and replied, "Because, even at that early stage, men refuse to ask for directions. LOL
Bob and I have had to adjust to smaller improvements. Almost baby steps that can sometimes be difficult to recognize. We went to a support group yesterday, which was helpful not only for the information, but to hear others discuss their experiences. One of the members said that tiredness is long term--no way around it.
We are enjoying everyday--things as small as the view from our kitchen window, to our life together--each part of our lives is something we treasure.
Now, about that kibbutz.......
Reconsidering my idea:
commune is better than a kibuzz - especially re work

Dys, I've just toasted Osso's courage with a glass of chardonnay. I now toast your tenacity and courage with a bottle of Corona beer.
This is fun. Anybody else out there with health problems?
BTW, I have two friends who have had pretty big strokes ("brain attacks") and have, after some time, regained their stamina. So don't dispair. Just drink--if the doctor permits it, of course.
In moderation. Wine and beer together? hmmmm.....
it depends on what we are talking about; women, wine, money, vodka, cars, homes, .......the list can be endless.

Good point, C.I., in some things, moderation is appropriate in other things excess is appropriate. I was talking about boos. I have a friend who never gets really drunk, but then he rarely gets really sober. As a lay Buddhist he claims to follow the Buddha's Middle Way.
