Why are you so tired, Dys? Does it have something to do with the thinness of your blood due to the Coumadin. Has it lowered your blood pressure too much?
Actually, I would be surprised if you were not fatigued after what you've been through.

See you when you're back C.I. Why two weeks? That's a long time.

Mikey, take back what you said. I wouldn't wish a stroke on anybody--remember that old saying, "Be careful what you wish for."

JLN, it's a little bit of both--the doctors said that the tiredness would last quite a while because of the stroke--and the effects of the coumadin level is also making him tired. Hopefully it will be steady within a week.

C.i., try to get back sooner--we'll miss you.

hey dys...rootin for you. Hang in there fella. Come springtime, when the snow goes up and the bears come down, perhaps a friend and I will come visit. I'd like that.

Bob-But you CAN feel, can't you? Consider yourself ahead of the game! Very Happy

Seriously though, what you are feeling is NORMAL. You have survived a trauma, and it is going to take time for you to come back to yourself.

Now quityerbitchin', and give Diane a great big kiss!

Clearly, our relationship will henceforth gain a more distanced and formal character.

...and my "friend" is no one you've ever met...gorgeous, yes...a star of the ballet stage, an interior decorator of unusual taste and sophistication, and, all in all, a very nice fellow.

A man and his wife, now in their 60's, were celebrating their 40th
wedding anniversary. On their special day a good fairy came to them and said that because they had been such a devoted couple she would
grant each of them a speical wish..

The wife wished for a trip around the world with her husband.
Whoosh!
Immediately she had airline/cruise tickets in her hands.

The man wished for a female companion 30 years younger... Whoosh...
immediately he turned ninety!!!

Gotta love that fairy!!

Yeah Deb, he does get a little strange with this longing to feel a cripple, but then, that is just one of his many charms.

Um, Bob, did you see what Phoenix ordered you to do?????? Get over here, sweet cheeks.

Bernie, so you've become a metro-sexual? When will you be appearing on TV? Will my abject sorrow at our formal and distanced relationship have any chance of changing it back to the usual satire and low comedy?

c.i., that's the gooood fairy!

We went out with friends tonight and Bob ate very well and even had energy to play a little pool when we got back to their place. His coordination needs a little more time to return to normal, but he held his own pretty well.

PROGRESS

Love to you all for your good thoughts.
Diane

Alert!
I was doing some research, and I think I stumbled upon what happened to dys ...

some symptoms ...

Quote:
My hands are shaky and my knees are weak
I can't seem to stand on my own two feet

Quote:
My tongue get tied when I try to speak
My insides shake like a leaf on a tree

Quote:
What's wrong with me?
I'm itching like a man on a fuzzy tree

Quote:
My heart beats so it scares me to death!

OMIGAWD!

dys is all shook up!

A well I bless my soul
What's wrong with me?
I'm itching like a man on a fuzzy tree
My friends say I'm actin' wild as a bug
I'm in love
I'm all shook up
Mm mm oh, oh, yeah, yeah!

My hands are shaky and my knees are weak
I can't seem to stand on my own two feet
Who do you thank when you have such luck?
I'm in love
I'm all shook up
Mm mm oh, oh, yeah, yeah!

Please don't ask me what's on my mind
I'm a little mixed up, but I'm feelin' fine
When I'm near that girl that I love best
My heart beats so it scares me to death!

She touched my hand what a chill I got
Her lips are like a vulcano that's hot
I'm proud to say she's my buttercup
I'm in love
I'm all shook up
Mm mm oh, oh, yeah, yeah!

My tongue get tied when I try to speak
My insides shake like a leaf on a tree
There's only one cure for this body of mine
That's to have the girl that I love so fine!
