Was it Rockhead who adopted a strategy of benching his catchers for a long
stretch of time (presumably) because they were doing his team more harm
than good?

Last year I utilized the strategy of using 1B/3B players who also qualified as catcher (V-Mart & Kung Fu Panda). Worked out great.

(Sandoval's not a C this year, and Martinez is behind the plate in Detroit.)
