I've already reported it as I've seen no notice regarding word ID pop-ups. I don't know if a new member has hacked the site or what.

I just assumed Fearless Leader had sold his soul. Not likely I suppose, considering the probably range of asking price.

WHAT DO YOU PREDICT WILL HAPPEN IF THE US LEAVES ITS TROOPS IN IRAQ?

What makes you think the US will have a say in this matter? Perhaps it should read,

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR IRAQ TO EXPELL THE AMERICAN CRIMINAL CRUSADER ZIONIST INVADERS, AND WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT?

To which my answer is

President Saddam Hussein will be restored to power in Baghdad, amid scenes of wild jubliation. The victorious allies summon the US to a peace conference in Versailles (thats Paris France) and demand stringent war reparations. California Oregon Washington state ceded to Iraq in perpetuity. War criminals Bush Cheney Rumsfeld Rice convicted of waging aggressive war and incarcerated at Abu Ghraib prison. (Iraq, now a permanent member of the UN security council in consideration of its oil wealth, vetoes a resolution calling for their execution).
Paul Wolfowitz escapes to Argentina where he is assassinated by an Iraqi secret service agent, posing as an emissary from Ariel Sharon. An insignificant American corporal, veteran of both oil wars, forms a new radical party demanding the return of Califanistan (as it is now called) and parts of Canada, where he claims Americans are oppressed. The world holds its breath as Arnold Hittleberg makes a bid for the Presidency....(to be continued)

Well thats my take on it all ican, what DO YOU THINK?

Oh yeah, I know. I was cracking wise. The functioning of it provides no marked problem at all for me.

Regarding green font thingys, when I click a link my machine locks. So its either bye bye green font thingys or bye bye a2k

Now what a difference a few hours makes. Not so long ago I was commenting on the hypocracy surrounding the Daily Mirror pictures, and now Piers Morgan is taken outside and the old broom handle shoved up....no sorry, he was called in to a meeting with American owners of the Mirror group and summarily fired. Instantly...escorted off the premises by two security guards.

Let's suppose this is a basketball game -- it doesn't matter which side you are on. If you don't play by the rules on this privately owned site you can be penalized if a moderator sees fit. Playing with twisted semantics will not disguise the intent. Just read the TOS and the guide for posting in the political section (which is only suggestive). It will keep one on the point and out of trouble.

Well, I for one am glad to see the French have finally taken my suggestion and put Versailles where it belongs. I have always thought that train ride down there was a big waste of time, especially since most of the interiors look just like half the rooms in the Louvre, I mean just how many curlicued balustrades can one look at and exclaim "Allors!"

My only question is were they smart enough to move DisneyWorld as well?

What do I think will happen if the US is compelled to withdraw from Iraq?

Terrorist Murderers & Maimers (TMM) will destroy in Western Europe all buildings taller than 10 stories, and all rail and air transportation terminals including the occupants therein at the time of these destructions. This will occur approximately 3 months after the same has been perpetrated and completed in the US.

What do I think will happen if the US is compelled to remain in Iraq?

All TMM in Iraq and Afghanistan will be exterminated or incarcerated within the next 4 years provided that A, the US military is permitted to interrogate all TMM prisoners with whatever techniques that work but not murder and/or maim them; and provided that B, the US military is not compelled to negotiate with the TMM and is directed to demand unconditional surrender of all TMM.

Failure to adere to these two provisions, both A and B, will result in the US being compelled to withdraw from Iraq within 4 years with the same consequences as the US being compelled to withdraw from Iraq sooner.

What do I think will happen if US voters compel John Kerry to be the next US president?

The US will not meet the 2 provisions specified above and will withdraw from Iraq within 1year.

What do I think will happen if US voters compel George Bush to be the next US president?

The US will not meet the 2 provisions specified above and will withdraw from Iraq within 4 years.

What do I think will happen if US voters compel the person I most prefer to be the next US president?

All TMM in Iraq and Afghanistan will be exterminated or incarcerated within the next 4 years because the US military is permitted to interrogate all TMM prisoners with whatever techniques that work but not murder and/or maim them; and the US military is is not compelled to negotiate with the TMM and is directed to demand unconditional surrender of all TMM.

Upon the high shout of trumpets, dirty arabs will struggle in shackles down Madison avenue beneath the celebratory rain of confetti and the bright colored pennants waving in the wind coming off of the Twin Towers site. There will be much rejoicing, and the clatter of Christ greeting heroes of war.

CIA Wrong on Iraq 'Mobile Labs,' Powell Says

1 hour, 40 minutes ago Add Top Stories - Reuters to My Yahoo!

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (news - web sites) was wrong about Iraq (news - web sites)'s purported pre-war mobile biological weapons laboratories, a key part of the case about suspected weapons of mass destruction, Secretary of State Colin Powell (news - web sites) said on Sunday.

I'm very concerned," he said in reply to a question on the NBC program "Meet the Press" about having used claims in a U.N. Security Council speech now known to have been "inaccurate and discredited."

"When I made that presentation in February 2003, it was based on the best information that the Central Intelligence Agency made available to me," he said.

Last month, Powell described the assertions he made about the purported labs as "the most dramatic" element of his Feb. 5, 2003, speech. He acknowledged on April 2 the information was suspect but stopped short of drawing any public conclusions.

In his comments on NBC, Powell went further.

"It turned out that the sourcing was inaccurate and wrong and, in some cases, deliberately misleading. And for that, I am disappointed, and I regret it," he said.

As recently as January, Vice President Dick Cheney (news - web sites) cited the discovery of two trucks as "conclusive" evidence of the mobile labs described by Powell. But CIA (news - web sites) Director George Tenet later told Congress he had warned Cheney not to be so categorical about the discovery.

A CIA spokesman declined comment.

Blatham,

You asked somewhere I think who were the American owners of the Daily Mirror. Mirror Group Newspapers is owned by trinity Mirror. Below a statement on the pics fiasco. Strictly I was wrong to say MGN are American owned. But pressure came from American investors in Trinity, not just over the fake pics, but poor financial results, they had been looking for an excuse to fire Piers Morgan for some time so I understand

Statement from Trinity Mirror plc

May 14 2004

The Daily Mirror published in good faith photographs which it absolutely believed were genuine images of British soldiers abusing an Iraqi prisoner.

However there is now sufficient evidence to suggest that these pictures are fakes and that the Daily Mirror has been the subject of a calculated and malicious hoax.

The Daily Mirror therefore apologises unreservedly for publishing the pictures and deeply regrets the reputational damage done to the QLR and the Army in Iraq.

The paper will continue to cooperate fully with the investigation.

The Board of Trinity Mirror has decided that it would be inappropriate for Piers Morgan to continue in his role as Editor of the Daily Mirror and he will therefore be stepping down with immediate effect.

Des Kelly, Deputy Editor, will assume the role of acting Editor.
