What's all this fluff about German knights, grape pies and obscure plays?

Let's get back to going for each other's jugulars!

Peach cobbler, yum.....I can't handle pumpkin pie...I think it is just too much flavor, to rich....I usually beg a bite from my wife, and that's all I can take. Same with Pecan pie, they taste great, but it's just too much.
I love pecan pie; love sweetness.
I do n't like the taste of pumpkin.

Apple pie ala mode and cold cherry pie r great.

The great pie tour of NYC! Someone could make a killing selling this bus tour to tourists! Could easily beat the famous Sex and the City, Seinfeld, and pizza tours of NYC.
I took the Seinfeld tour.
Bus was very comfortable. The real Kramer led it.
The name of the restaurant that thay always show,
from the outside is Tom's Restaurant.
That 's what it says on the sign.
I also tried the real soup nazi's lobster bisque.
It was rich and full of lobster; generous.

@OmSigDAVID,
Pecan pie is so sweet that just thinking about it makes my teeth hurt. I love shoo fly pie with a wet molasses bottom thats made with a nice strong blackstrap molasses.
Its an acquired taste just like those Canadain butter tarts or pecan pies. Thoase Canadian Butter tarts arent that sweet so a sto be disgusting.
Course all the southern folks like their stuff sweet.

My husband loves it. It is very simple to make. I was really surprised at how good it is. But it is rich, rich, rich!

Speaking of Teutonic oafs, lingonberry pie is lovely, but I prefer lingonberry jam.

My grandmother grew her own gooseberries and made scrumptious pies. She was another of those women who never had a cookbook and who never measured. Always perfect meals, whether savory or sweet.

Being from the south, we ate pecan pie, yum, and apple pie. I love apple pie ala mode and warm cherry pie ala mode. Pecan pie needs nothing but a sweet tooth and plenty of coffee with water on the side and time to digest in gluttonous glory.

This thread has become so much fun, thanks to all who were determined to change the atmosphere.

Jo, I apologize for including the words creepy and, oh phooey, I can't remember the other one. Anyway, it was good to hang in and make a 180 turn for the better.

Thanks to all. Bon appetit!!
