@sozobe,
I rechecked the articles, Soz. We have to differentiate between early voters and absentee voters. The FL election board reports that 475K absentee ballots had been sent out and 180K had come back by Wednesday, January 18th.
You are correct that early voting began after the SC primary, but the absentee voting is the issue we are talking about. Thanks
JTT

That's actually a problem for Newt, that so many of the votes were already cast BEFORE the surge.

Exactly!

And yes, Gingrich has a real chance of winning Florida... winning the nomination.

Would the Florida Department of Elections qualify as a reliable source? What source are you looking at?

@jcboy,

In the past, when he was the Speaker (I believe),
she acknowledged that Newt received her lover
and her warmly and graciously in his office
.

Whether someone believes in freedom of the Individual citizen
and believes that the collective's henchman, government, is dangerous
or not is a very personal matter arising from a citizen's
fundamental psychology.

@reasoning logic,
Thanx for the Ron Paul ad, RL.

I 'd go with him,
if I did not care whether Iran nukes me or not.

@Cycloptichorn,
I'm kind of enjoying it. Not annoying as I thought it would be.

Mitt just delivered a pretty substantial blow that had Gingrich stammering - trying to explain away his influence-peddling.

@hingehead,
Newt and Mitt get into a spat before the break re Newt's possible lobbying.
Quite civil, though, so far.
Mitt probably ahead.

I'm glad Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich are dominating the debate and tearing each other apart. One of them will be the nominee but the winner will be bruised and weakened. Rick Santorum and Ron Paul, you guys can leave whenever you want.

Another tv break.
Some Obama bashing as the discussion turns to foreign affairs. Cuba , aimed at the FL audience.
After an initial round of attacks between Mitt and Newt, the moderator has not really stoked that fire.

@realjohnboy,
And another break as Romney goes after Obama on the FL economy.
They seem to have decided to not go after each other.
