I know it's not about Trump, but I think there's quite a lot of crossover between Trump and Palin supporters. And this gives a window into Republican thinking. Scary.

Quote:
Former US vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin has said she has a "political crush" on Marion Marechal-Le Pen of France's National Front (FN).

Ms Palin, writing for the conservative news website Breitbart, described the Frenchwoman as "a clear voice of courage and common sense in a country and continent in need of both".

The young far-right candidate reminded her of Joan of Arc, she said.

The FN failed to win control of any of France's regions in Sunday's elections

Ms Marechal-Le Pen came second in Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur.

The Socialist candidate withdrew as a tactical manoeuvre to ensure the FN did not top the poll.

Ms Palin, who was John McCain's running mate in the 2008 US presidential election, highlighted the achievements of both Ms Marechal-Le Pen, 26, and her aunt, FN leader Marine Le Pen.

Quote:
Former Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond called Donald Trump "three times a loser" on Wednesday after Britain's Supreme Court threw out the billionaire's bid to stop an offshore wind farm being built near his Scottish golf resort.

Salmond made his comment on Twitter and added in a statement: "These proceedings have been dragged out for years through three successive court judgments by Donald Trump as he tried to stop an offshore Aberdeen wind turbine ..."

"In doing so he has at best postponed, and at worst jeopardized, a vital 200 million pound ($413 million Cdn) boost for the economy of the North East of Scotland."

Salmond, who as former First Minister was cited in Trump's legal actions, also referred to the U.S. Republican presidential front runner's comments on Mexican immigrants and Muslims, which have drawn widespread condemnation.

Salmond concluded: "His behaviour and comments are unlikely to attract the votes of many Mexican Americans or Muslim Americans. Given his treatment of Scotland, Scots American are likely to join the ever growing list of people alienated by Trump."

@ehBeth,
He says that now, but when he was first minister he said quite different stuff. Salmond is almost as big a tit as Trump.

Quote:
A HARD-hitting new documentary investigating Donald Trump’s contentious golf resort in Aberdeenshire is set to put the First Minister in an uncomfortable spotlight when it is released in cinemas two weeks before the independence referendum.

Alex Salmond features prominently in Anthony Baxter’s film A Dangerous Game voicing his support for Trump’s plans and the promised jobs bonanza it was meant to deliver.
The SNP leader is also heavily criticised in the film by residents of the Menie Estate for ignoring problems allegedly caused by work on the golf resort. Salmond refused to answer any of Baxter’s questions or to be interviewed.

The director told an event at the Edinburgh International Film Festival that Salmond had twice agreed to be interviewed but pulled out on both occasions. He was unable to secure the promised interview before the film, which is being funded by both the BBC and the Scottish Government’s own arts agency, Creative Scotland, had to be finished.

@izzythepush,
golf is a dying pastime in usa but trump hasnt gotten the memo. He is still pushing several in SC and Fla and was trying to buy one on the Poconos till the Del River Basin Commission told him to take hike.

When such a potential despot believes his own press, he is a danger to the rest of us.

You hardly need to look for indirect windows into Trump or his supporters thinkings to be scare out of your mind by the idea of him becoming president.

He's a bigot; he loves Mexicans, but will build a wall between the US and Mexico.
Does he also love Canadians?

Why some people can't see through his ignorance is appalling.

Meaning welch on all bets/debts? The IMF has the nation over a barrel. Get rid of those parasites, and you might have a chance. Remember that in a fiat economy, debt is an illusion created to keep the class system alive and well.

Trump doesn't give a **** about anyone else. He's a chronic NPD case.
