@McGentrix,
Rumsfeld isn't in prison or awaiting trial for war crimes. That's what difference it makes.

@revelette2,
Trump praised Putin, then denigrated our president and generals. Trump said Putin has an 82% approval rating.
Trump is so dumb, he doesn't understand how politics in Russia works, because he's so corrupt himself.
The biggest problem for Americans is that so many are also too ignorant to understand what it means for an American to praise a tyrant and demean our own president.

Do you remember when the righties were so up in arms whenever Obama did anything at all respectful of a foreign leader? Like they about pissed their pants when Obama was photographed bowing to an Asian leader, or wearing a ceremonial sash in honor of an African leader?

Don't you think they'd miraculously regain their understanding of what it means to praise a tyrant and demean our leaders if, say it was Hillary or Obama (during campaign) doing it?

Make no mistake - They understand that Trump is being shamefully disrespectful, but it would only disgust them if it was a democrat doing it.

As I've said, they don't have the decency to even be ashamed of this putrid manthing Trump.

@snood,
I'm worried Johnson could pull votes away from Hillary instead of Trump and could tip the election to Trump.

Quote:
Despite the hurdles, Mr. Johnson could still have a major effect on the race.

Polls show him appealing to young, educated voters in states like North Carolina who might otherwise support Mrs. Clinton, and disaffected conservatives in places like Utah, where much of the traditionally Republican Mormon population is turned off by Mr. Trump. In a close election, a Libertarian ticket that is drawing one-tenth of the vote could reshape the electoral map and tilt battlegrounds in unpredictable directions.

A Quinnipiac University survey released on Thursday showed Mr. Johnson pulling a big chunk of the vote in Ohio, highlighting the influence that he might have.

“Gary Johnson could decide the presidential election in the Buckeye State,” said Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University poll. “He is getting 14 percent from Ohio voters, and how that cohort eventually votes could be critical in this swing state — and in the nation.”

@revelette2,
People should write to Johnson and tell him to drop out. The election as it stands now is too close, and some even show Trump ahead of Clinton.

@revelette2,
Will 14% in Ohio give him any Electoral College votes?

Johnson strikes me as not quite tuned-in enough to care. I'm not sure his space-cadet brain would comprehend a letter.

It's worth a try. Doing nothing is also an option, but that gives Trump a leg up.

@snood,
Putin is a stronger leader than Obammy.

Do you see Putin going around and apologizing for Russia? Do you see Putin going around saying that his citizens are lazy? Do you see Putin going around saying that his country has lost it's authority? Do you see Putin going around apologizing for helping to bring an end to World War II? Do you see Putin drawing lines in the sand and not backing it up?

Compared to Putin obammy is a whiny, feckless, little pussy.

@cicerone imposter,
I guess so, but I'm sure Johnson has already gotten a lot of such letters and probably more than a few including death threats from kooks.

He's not pulling out unless perhaps he gets wind that one of the Campaign's has a hit contract out on him.

@giujohn,
You see Putin lining his pockets and those of his cronies, invading another country and propping up a brutal dictator, stamping on the independent media, persecuting homosexuals and screwing over the economy.

@ehBeth,
To be honest, I don't know how that works or how it figures on chances of winning. I haven't really studied it like I did the primaries.

In any event, Hillary's lead has been shrinking in swing states and it is not good. Nate Silver has her electoral college numbers at 70%, up slightly from 67%.

Election Update: The Swing States Are Tightening

Seems like he had a piece out a couple of weeks ago about how you can't count on the electoral votes to win the election. I can't find it now.

But here is another one which worries me September 6.

Election Update: Clinton’s Lead Keeps Shrinking

I haven't sunk into despair yet. But I do find it terribly disturbing that a Thug cheap skate who enters into contracts with small businesses knowing full well he will never pay them, Trump could get this far.

Yes I do... But I don't see him apologizing for it. You can be strong and still be evil... Just like you can be weak and be good. The discussion is about strength and weakness not about Good and Evil... Try to keep up Izzy.

It just amazes me that Americans can support Trump with all his bad record of cheating other people. It reveals a lot about the American populace.

No it's not, it's about what makes a good president. In the end Putin is only good for himself.
