You couldn't do this again. Nobody could get that many errors exactly the same way two times in a row.

Quote giujohn:

According to the Department of Labor Bureau of statistics the average median weekly wage for a black male in 2007 was $600.

No it was not. That's because there is no such thing as an "average median weekly wage", so they don't list such a statistic. You have median weekly earnings and you have average wage, which are two different things.

By the way, why only deal with black men in this discussion-don't black women deserve to have their work recognized? I suppose little black kids don't need to be fed and housed with the money their black mother works for. And you Trump people pretend to get so pissed off if someone calls you racist.

Now here's the story-the BLS has a listing that converts every years Median Weekly Earnings, by quarter, into 1982-84 dollars so that inflation between years is eliminated as a factor, and accurate comparisons between quarters years apart can be made. Inflation, whether great or small, is always a factor, so the 1982-84 dollar conversion eliminates that complication. You should appreciate that, the last thing in the world somebody like you needs is complications. You can't even get the basics right.

However, just to show what a great guy I am, we'll do it your way and list the Median Weekly Earnings by the current dollars of the time, then convert later. For the conversion, we will use the BLS' CPI Inflation Calculator:
http://data.bls.gov/cgi-bin/cpicalc.pl

Median Weekly Earnings
African-American, Both Sexes

Q2 2016......$677
Q2 2007......$562. The CPI Inflation Calculator says $562 then now equals $652.27
African-American Median Weekly Earnings have gone UP.

Just for the hell of it, let's check out the stat for African-American men alone.
African-American Men
Q2 2016......$704
Q2 2007......$597. The CPI Inflation Calculator says $597 then now equals.$692.90. It's still higher now.

So, to sum up, you cleverly decided to use the statistic only for African American men, changed the statistic title to a mathematical impossibility (average median) that is not listed, decided to bypass the BLS' statistic tailor made to eliminate inflation as a factor in favor of your own method, got that method wrong, and got the rest of the answer wrong as well.

No wonder you conservatives are always saying the only place to get information is from the right wing media. With an audience like you, the AM radio jocks don't have to worry about their listeners catching them on their constant lies and falsehoods.

@McGentrix,
Yes, looking up stats oneself doesn't go over big with you, does it McGentrix. You like your information pre-digested and spooned to you by the right wing media.

Trump campaign CEO didn't want daughters 'going to school with Jews,' ex-wife says

Source: AP / Nola.com

LOS ANGELES — An ex-wife of Donald Trump's new campaign CEO, Stephen Bannon, said Bannon made anti-Semitic remarks when the two battled over sending their daughters to private school nearly a decade ago, according to court papers reviewed Friday by The Associated Press.

That revelation came a day after reports emerged that domestic violence charges were filed 20 years ago against Bannon following an altercation with his then-wife, Mary Louise Piccard.

In a sworn court declaration following their divorce, Piccard said her ex-husband had objected to sending their twin daughters to an elite Los Angeles academy because he "didn't want the girls going to school with Jews."

"He said he doesn't like Jews and that he doesn't like the way they raise their kids to be 'whiney brats,'" Piccard said in a 2007 court filing.

Trump biographer drops a bombshell on CNN — and exposes his cocaine-dealing crony

Eric W. Dolan
27 Aug 2016 at 22:27 ET

Donald Trump biographer David Cay Johnston Saturday on CNN said that the Republican presidential candidate once protected a convicted felon who was charged with cocaine trafficking.

“Donald got his personal helicopter and the one for his casinos from a convicted felon who turned out to be a major drug trafficker, and instead of cutting ties with this guy, he kept him on, he rented him an apartment under very unusual circumstances as I described in the book,” Johnston told CNN host Michael Smerconish. “He wrote a letter pleading for mercy for him, saying he was a standup guy. The guy got 18 months while the people who actually delivered the drugs for him got 20 years. And, by the way, the case came before at one point Judge Maryanne Trump Barry — Donald’s older sister.”

Johnston was referring to Joseph Weichselbaum, who was indicted for drug trafficking in 1985.

Johnston said the media should investigate Hillary Clinton’s private email server, but he complained that virtually no one had called attention to Trump’s “lifelong business dealings with Russian mobsters, con artists, violent felons, swindlers, and this big time cocaine trafficker.”

@bobsal u1553115,
Donald Trump came on the public consciousness as a guy who was carrying on an affair with Marla Maples while still married to his wife. Footage of him was on all the TV gossip shows nightly. Twenty five years ago, The New York Post carried this famous headline on the front page:

http://images.huffingtonpost.com/2016-03-11-1457709578-5978124-TrumpNYP-thumb.jpg

When a guy plays up his womanizing image like that, especially while he's still married, you can imagine what his personal life was like before he got married. Especially in the disco-and-drugs era of the New York financial district in the 1980s. This isn't even Labor Day yet, there are tons of stories about this guy ready to come out. The rape case going on now is just one. Trump was an entitled rich young man in an unrestrained era, and even he admitted his personal life was wild. We're talking naked women swinging from chandeliers in luxury hotel rooms while the cocaine lay in piles on the tables. People might lament, but this is going to be one of the most entertaining campaigns, if only for that alone.

We've already heard about Hillary's philandering husband for 20 years. In case you haven't noticed, at least Bill had the decency to try to keep his affairs private. Trump does things, including his affairs, in a big YUUUGE way right in front of everybody, and if they don't like it, tough.

Your side has been screaming about Clinton for decades. Than you put up Trump for election. This is going to be hilarious.

The issue isn't bills philandering it's Hillary's hypocrisy on top of all her lies and you're right it's been going on for more than 20 years.

@giujohn,
Yes, that's what we all need, more discussion about Bill Clinton. I doubt I can muster enough interest to vote unless Hillary confesses whatever it is that will satisfy giujohn. But suppose it's not enough for gj? It won't be, it will never be, it can't be because gj will up the ante, he and the other haters can never accept anything less than HRC is evil incarnate. She has to be or she would never have married the Prince of Darkness.

Actually I can accept two things when it comes to Hillary her defeat in the election or if she's elected her impeachment and conviction... that should do nicely.

On what legal basis are you assuming Hillary be charged with impeachment and conviction?
Have you ever learned about the three branches of government? How does that comport with your position to convict Hillary?

I hope you don't think this surprises anyone. I've been saying this all along, even back before the 2008 election. At that time I wondered what would be more divisive, electing the first African American or electing Hillary Clinton. Frankly I was surprised at how quickly 'racist innuendo' became commonplace, I suspected it would be ugly, just not as ugly. But back to Hillary, I may not understand the depth of hatred directed at Bill Clinton, but the lengths his enemies were willing to go to destroy him wouldn't go away simply because he was not removed from office. No, the blood lust that propelled Bill haters had
to move on to embrace hating Hillary, but it now demands a much higher penalty. You haters don't want her to merely lose, you want to grind her into dust. What I find fascinating is that the same folks will give Rumsfeld, Cheney and the other war criminals a pass but those folks will never ever ever forgive a BJ in the Oval Office. How balanced is that?
