American patriots will be aghast at Hillary's drive to violate the Second Amendment and supportive of Trump's plans to defend the Second Amendment.

He didn't have to backtrack and say he was joking because he was joking. The only people who would have thought otherwise were people who wanted a tool to attack him.

Political Wire's Quote of the Day -- From Lindsey Graham

“There used to be some things that were sacred in American politics, that you don’t do, like criticizing the parents of a fallen soldier, even if they criticize you. If you’re going to be leader of the free world, you have to be able to accept criticism, and Mr. Trump can’t.”

— Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), quoted by the New York Times, adding that “unacceptable” doesn’t even begin to describe Donald Trump’s behavior.

There is no rule of ethics that says that someone cannot defend himself against vicious attacks, even made by the father of a fallen soldier. Frankly, he was much milder with Khan than Khan was with him in that original interview with George Stephanopoulos:

"He was, you know, very emotional and probably looked like a nice guy to me."
- Donald Trump

Normally, people, especially candidates for public office, do respond to severely negative comments made about them. As usual, the liberals take something Trump said and alert it to so that they can criticize it. Trump gave a rather mild defense after an agressive public attack on him.

@Brandon9000,
The Democratic leadership is desperate I think.

I think they foresee the same demise of liberalism that I foresee.

I expect their attacks against Mr. Trump to grow more and more ludicrous as we get closer to election day. They are like a drowning man clutching at anything within grasp.

@oralloy,
You seem to forget all about the other rights guaranteed by the Constitution.
The right to vote is mentioned more than the right to bear arms but you don't seem to give a damn about that.

The Second Amendment is the one that the Democrats are out to violate every way they can.

The Democrats are wrong to violate that right as well.

@oralloy,
But it is the GOP that is determined to place restriction on voting rights. In fact, they seem determined to make voting more difficult than bearing arms is.

Would you agree to show ID every time you exercise your right to carry a gun? The GOP wants people to show ID every time they exercise the right to vote.

All of the information I've been able to gather up suggests that Hillary Clinton has no intention of taking away citizens' guns.

However, there is some indication via a medical research initiative in her platform that she is seriously considering shoving those guns up the asses of the owners until the trigger goes, "click".

This is astounding! Fantastic! Really fantastic! Unbelievable! Believe me.

Check this out. 30 years of Doonesbury on Trump. He got this guy exactly right a long time ago. Watch this.

The Democrats like to falsely accuse the GOP of restricting voting rights. But in reality it is the Democratic Party that willfully disenfranchises people.

The 2008 Michigan primary is a perfect example of this.

You mean present a CCW license when requested to present it? Sure.

She has openly advocated unconstitutional bans on assault weapons, and has spouted plenty of dogwhistles indicating that she intends to continue the push to add law abiding citizens to the list of people barred from buying guns. And she will appoint judges and justices who will allow the Second Amendment to be violated at will.

@revelette2,
In the UK things are better too, but not for everyone. And I suspect it's the same in America too, large groups of people who lost a good job when the meltdown happened still scraping by with two or three part time jobs. They don't see how things could get any worse.

It's funny what's happening this morning. Morning Joe has Joe and Mika questioning Drumpf's sanity(This is not the Donald I know!), saying that the Republicans need to disown him and try to salvage Senate and House seats. I sure wish Oralloy and the other Drumpf dead-enders were betting men. I feel kinda lucky.

He got EVERYTHING he'd asked for. He cut taxes, fought two unpaid for wars, gave a prescription program that wasn't paid for. He had a much more compliant Congress than Obama has. And Obama's done better than W did with the economy,

@bobsal u1553115,
Smile It's as good an explanation as any. In fact the whole Republican leadership is suffering through a public display of cognitive dissonance; damning Trump's words and actions, and still continuing to endorse his candidacy.

It's kinda fun watching them squirm.
