@djjd62,
That guy sure picked the wrong military, didn't he?

Had he gone into the US military, he would have had ample opportunity to engage his extracurricular activities and still have a burgeoning career, a pension and room to enjoy it plus a bunch of tin medals to hang on his chest.

@Ceili,
I've been to India twice before, and I'm not going for their food. LOL

@cicerone imposter,
Not the food in India per se, just in the airports... stale cheese sandwiches and the like.

I'm thinking that hiking the Appalachian Trail would have been a lot cheaper.

Maybe not, the tickets to Argentina aren't cheap.

On the other hand, traveling to India is cheaper than invading Iraq.

@IRFRANK,
Sshhh, don't let that get out there Frank. It might give our current governor ideas. Oh wait, he already had that idea.

@JTT,
You are incredibly naive.
Oh, you're the guy that believed John Kerry.
And, don't forget, torture isn't necessary for saving lives and the Koran is just kidding about filling all infidels.
Peace baby!

How does one "fill" an infidel, Fred?

Do you think that there were parts of that posting that were inaccurate?

Rachel Maddow, MSNBC is reporting on this now. Evidently the Fox / Beck/ Limbaugh trio has been passing this around and claiming it is true.

Michelle Bauchman has been going on and on about it. They all state it as if it's fact, when it isn't. They claim it is being reported in the news, without mentioning that the news source is Fox, and only Fox.

They haven't even been able to agree on numbers... 800 Rooms! 530 Rooms! 2000 people going with him! 3000 people going with him!

OMG! 12 MILLION people are going with him and the entire Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Marines and everyone else with a gun!

(Hurray! The rest of us can play for the week and raid all of their refrigerators!)

Here's the guy who wants us to turn down our thermostats in the winter to save energy,...to not take a jet due to the carbon foot print,...to remember the middle class and their needs,....to walk the walk together,....and then this! 3000 poeple on the trip? Taking his two small girls on an international business trip (for the peope)? Three disassemble helicopters...to reassemble there?!! Maybe in good times, when all Americans are doing well...and are employed...and are not suffering the loss of their retirements, etc....but NOW? Insensitive Pres. Obama! How about you "lead by example"???

@wfmc,
Rolling Eyes

If you're gonna be outraged make sure you have your facts right.

He's not taking 3000 people with him.
He isn't reserving 800 rooms at the Taj Mahal Hotel.
He isn't going to be out of communication.
He isn't having 34 Naval ships offshore.
He isn't ...

I did hear today, though, that a bunch of coconuts have been removed from trees prematurely to prevent Obama getting hit on the head.

And India is providing Naval border patrol.
