Should able2know ban people for having untoward opinions?

I believe it is very painful if you get it done as an adult. Isnt it mainly done for religious reasons though ? Or is that circumferenced I am thinking of ?

@ehBeth,
That was one of Set's favorite tricks, Beth. He even got into a rant a few times about how he was going to leave.

Hex.. if I may. I don't know a soul here, in the biblical sense or otherwise. There are times I post a lot and periods where I disappear. I don't blame or promote anyone as the reason I stay or go. If your friends left, c'est la vie. Why lose sleep over it, there are literally billions of people who could or may replace them, but to say it's a2k's fault is a little silly. They didn't like it, they left. Oh well.
There are always others that will come and other that will leave. Call it personal choice. It is what it is.
By any statistics it wouldn't say it's plausible that so many people would disappear so suddenly.

@HexHammer,
You can't force people to do anything. They didn't like the site, most of them seemed like a grumpy group. They didn't like the colours, they didn't like the set up, they didn't like the people here. They were pissed off that they didn't get their way. Maybe one of them shelled out the big bucks and started a new site, doubtful but possible. I try not to cry over spilled milk.
Once again, there are billions and billions of people out there, I'm sure some of them are stellar philosophers as well. Maybe, one day they'll find this site and make up for the grumpy group that left. Till then, you have a choice - Stay and participate with those of us they found unacceptable or leave. Just don't expect anyone here to weep for those that exercised personal choice and left. It is what it is.

@HexHammer,
For the love of everything holy. I didn't quote you, did I?
Just made an observation.... way to belabour the point.
Obviously, nobody forced them to leave either. It was their choice, plain and simple.

@Ceili,
Hex must be a philosopher. His comprehension skills are certainly a topic for discussion on a philosphical level.

@HexHammer,
Question and postulate all you want, it is your right. It is my right, if you will, to be bored by all the self-absorption. It is also my right to not give a **** about people who couldn't be bothered to give a **** about me or a2k. Just so we are clear...

@HexHammer,
Those guys couldn't compete in this free-for-all environment. Their lack of sciences doomed them. They thought having a philosophy background would put them at the top of the heap but sad to say it ain't so. People here though may have science background also took philosophy so all their bull can be detected.

@HexHammer,
So let me get this right...
I'm supposed to care about a bunch of ghosts and because I don't, I'm a narcissist?
You live in a weird frame of mind.

You misunderstand/overlook a minor detail, it's not these guys themselves, but the reason why they left, if we can help that, then it would be better.

The philforum folks were never really here, and the reason that the attempt to eat Philform did not work has nothing to do with a flaw of A2k, but rather is because one culture can not vaporize another culture and absorb its energy except through force.....and the members of the vaporized culture can not have any options other than to assimilate into the predator.

This is the Internet, nobody can be forced to do anything, so the scheme fails. I get that you are still pissed off that your world was distroyed, but your emotional response seems to have wrecked your brain. Since I gather that you take pride in being rational and analytical I suggest you go sit in the corner for awhile and try to gather yourself.

@HexHammer,
I didn't misunderstand or overlook anything. Most of them were incredibly vocal about their dislikes of this site and pissed off that the old site they loved was sold. My point was and still is... none of them paid for it and/or bought the old site, none of them did anything but bitch and complain. So, do you expect Robert to cater to the whole 10 people or do we continue on and attract people who aren't whiners and may add something constructive to this site? Robert told them he would change things and they still left. Oh well, there are plenty of fish in the sea, and apparently other places they liked better. All the power to them.
I'm having a hard time understanding why you care about a bunch of people who jumped ship. They didn't like it, they left.
Again, there are billions of people out there in the ether who could potentially replace them and may be more inclined to join the site and like it more than a bunch of cry babies who didn't get their way. This site is what YOU make it.
Just like nobody can make YOU happy, YOU have to do it for yourself.

I that "circumsized" you're thinking of? Wouldn't "circumferenced" just mean you are surrounded?
