and does that mean he should be banned?

or that you should be banned for dragging your disagreement with him to threads other than the one it started in?

@ehBeth,
I was specifically responding to Hawkeye's comment, in this thread that he has not encouraged others to violate rape laws.

That is obviously not the case. He has encouraged violation of the rape laws.

Hawkeye brought the subject of rape into his posts in this thread, not me.

really?

the numbers (when last presented) suggest that the site continues to grow
Yearh, don't let statistics blind you, I count least ~10 good philosophers from PF.com, guys who goes least 2 years back with me.

Their choice. Your loss. The numbers still grow as they are replaced.

@HexHammer,
10 philosophers gone? that's not exactly a massive loss to a site of this size - unfortunate for the other PF'rs - who likely miss them - but a blip otherwise

I said that much of that which is called rape by the rape feminists is not rape and should never be recognized as rape by law and some of this I have said I have no intention of not engaging in (waking my wife up with sex is one such example) if it should become law. I have further said that some of current rape law is bad law, and should be reformed, but I have not said that these bad laws should not be followed so long as they are in force..

If the rape feminists are successful in get some of their more nutty ideas into law I will at some point be in favor of mass disobedience of these laws, as they will be illegal laws which violate the constitutional protections of individual rights. To refuse to follow unconstitutional laws, even those that SCOTUS has affirmed, is not only the right but the duty of the citizen.

Yearh indeed it seems so to you, but these were not some Joe Average philosophers, but Imo heavy weights, with solid philosophical education.

I'm not asking you to care for the loss, but I'm just venting my view, and Imo preventing losses is better than not caring for losses.

In that case, there wouldn't be anyone at A2K.

Is that your philosophical opinion?

Why should I care about "heavyweights" that do not care to add to or take from the forum?

@firefly,
quote]Hawkeye has, in fact, encouraged others to violate rape laws.[/quote]

So it is your position that anyone who dare to promote the idea of not following insane and unfair laws should be ban Firefly?

Laws pass without the awareness of most of the population and for the benefits of special interests and to the harm of the mass of the citizens should hold some great almost religion respect?

The laws for returning slaves back into slavery should had been honor by the citizens of the North and anyone who had dare to promoted not following them should had been silent like you are wishing ot silent myself and Hawkeye?

I belive it's such simpleminded arrogance that leads to dictatorship, fall of empires, collaps of economy, buisnesses will close ..etc.

You fools are too busy with shortsighted selfness, you utterly fail looking at the greater picture. Why not try to make things better for ALL, not just for the few, and as long as you are satisfyed, you don't give a damn about others.

but they are the ones who left or choose not to participate, how can any of that be our fault, every member on this site could respond to every post i ever made by saying "**** you, i hope you die" and i'd still participate

if they are such paragons of philosophical greatness, i'd think they would be able to work through any obstacles we mere mortals placed in their path

there are plenty of ways to filter out the wheat from the chafe if one chooses, so why are they gone

@HexHammer,
Hex.. if I may. I don't know a soul here, in the biblical sense or otherwise. There are times I post a lot and periods where I disappear. I don't blame or promote anyone as the reason I stay or go. If your friends left, c'est la vie. Why lose sleep over it, there are literally billions of people who could or may replace them, but to say it's a2k's fault is a little silly. They didn't like it, they left. Oh well.
There are always others that will come and other that will leave. Call it personal choice. It is what it is.
