Being against something is a religion in itself.

I don't know that your assertion can be supported... Philosophy at its most extreme, when it forces people to choose between modes of thought such as the dogmatic and the pragmatic cannot be classed as religion... The presumption of a good does not presume a God, nor does the presumption of a relative good require an absolute God... Religions, dogma and denominations do a great injury to human kind, and the problem is too big to confront directly... It does no good to flail at the branches of evil when the roots present such an inviting target... Why do the sheep flock to religion??? Two reason predominate: Ignorance and lonliness... Our forms do not work, do not give us unity, nation, or happiness... People needing community, and refuge from a heartless society move to equally heartless denominations which present a kinder side to their members... The believers are victims... To attack a religion is to attack believers... Attack ignorance, and attack failed forms, and offer an alternative to failed forms that does not involve a retreat into ignorance, and people may think twice...
There is a common picture of Jesus holding a lamb that is a warning to all free thinking people... A lost lamb, prone to wandering had its foot smashed, and the shepard then had to carry the lamb from place to place, and even when healed th e lamb was forever crippled... Believers are crippled... They are victims... Just do not allow yourself to made a victim by victims...
