I am really sorry for marking the Tampa Bay vs Arizona game wrong. I am, to say the least, more than a bit chagrined.
The revised tally has Alex at 10-2 with Mysteryman at 9-3. Both have Houston tonight. So Alex will win the week if I am correct.
Unless I screwed up again. My apologies once more.
Looks like the winger took the ball too near the by-line and the goal was disallowed after a "booth review".
@realjohnboy,
You had me right at 7-5 though (I think) and I had Arizona. Are you still listing me as 7-5 with the AZ change?
@JPB,
6-6, Jaye, for you and LiontamerX.
@realjohnboy,
I had loses for Wash, Dallas, Jets, Denver, and Arizona. Which other game are you showing me with a loss?
@LionTamerX,
Yeah - only a few of us had NO (nemmee)
@LionTamerX,
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
I'm in serious denial.
yeppers. That would be the one.
@LionTamerX,
Thanks, LiontamerX. I think I have misplaced my mind. I am hoping to find it.
@realjohnboy,
I always have to locate the teams I picked and put it into my Works Pages' Football Picks on my desktop, or I'm totally camfloozled. It would be so much easier if the teams were consistent...
If I do change my mind and actually post that in the thread, then my confusion increases logarithmically.

Just looked "by-line" up.
First time I've heard that usage.
@spendius,

I must continually remind you that I do not play outside back ... I'm a sweeper.
Other than that you are absolutely correct.
WEEK #8-
It was another disappointing performance for us as a group. We went 159-140 to finish at .532.
Alex, though, had an excellent outing, going 10-3. He missed by choosing Carolina, Tennessee and Houston. Well done!
Cowdoc, Spendius and Mysteryman came in at 9-4 followed by Fbaezer, Panzade, Rhys, George and Osso at 8-5. LiontamerX, Ragman, JPB and Johnboy salvaged a winning week at 7-6.
Below .500 at 6-7 were CoastalRat, Lmur, McGentrix, Edgar, AndyClubber and EhBeth. Ms Cowdoc and Jespah staggered in at 5-8 while Region and Tico endured a 4-9 week.
The best ESPN guy was 9-4 while three experts were 6-7.
STANDINGS AFTER WEEK #8:
A tie again at the top!
1) JPB (71-46 .607) has had at least a share of the lead for 3 straight weeks
1) Spendius climbs back into a tie
3) LiontamerX (70-47 .598) is just one game back
4) Ragman (69-48 .590) is two games out of 1st
5) Ms Cowdoc (.564) holds 5th. but has to share it with
5) Panzade, moving up from 8th
7) McGentrix (.560) slips a notch
8) AndyClubber (.556) gives up one place
9) Cowdoc (.547) pops up from 13th after a good week
9) EhBeth slides by one
11) Edgar (.530) stays where he was
11) Tico loses 3 spots for the 2nd week in a row
13) George (.525) climbs from 16th
14) Rhys (.520) matches dad's 3 place pop
14) CoastalRat slips from 13th
14) Mysteryman jumps from 20th
14) Jespah droops from 11th
14) Osso climbs from 17th
19) Johnboy (.513) makes room by dropping 2 spots
20) Region (.496) tumbles from 15th
21) Alex (.474) moves up from 22nd
22) Lmur (.453) slips from 21st
23) Fbaezer (.444) holds on to the cellar
The best ESPN expert is at 73-44 (.623) which would put him in the lead here. The worst performing expert is at .478 which would give him 21st place.

Andy is headed off tomorrow to participate in the filming of a indy documentary at Coney Island in NY. The filmmaker is Russ, who worked for me 20 years ago. I don't know the subject matter, but it involves Shawn Decker. He was infected with HIV/Aids as a child due to an infected blood transfusion. He is the author of My Pet Virus. He and his wife Gwen lecture, most often at colleges, about the disease.
