@Region Philbis,
Yes, they do, region. The PAT is considered to be a part of the TD, except in overtime. The first score ends sudden death, so OT has no PAT. In regulation time, the PAT is attempted even after the clock has run out.

There is a thread on A2K devoted to DADT, by the way. Perhaps someone could post that video there.

So will Brett play tonight? Does anyone really care?

The field seems to be very questionable - they say - so that's what interests me most. I'm trying to remember from the days of yore when stadiums didn't have covers and snowfall was plentiful, whether playing while it snowed was any kind of big deal. They wouldn't have had coiled heating under the grass back then, and ice would have formed then as now.

Brett? I can't figure all that out - might be ceremonial, or, what? Mr. Drama.

@ossobuco,
I reckon I was thinking about the final score. Does snow inhibit the passing game, for example? Will the two teams spend a lot of the clock grinding out a few yards per play running?

@CowDoc,
But that cant apply in the new rules for the playoffs in the Superbowl. OT in those. Offense down 20-26 scores a TD and clock runs out. What then?

@spendius,
I think Cowdoc got it right. The point after a TD is an extension of the play before regardless of the time on the clock. In overtime, if the PAT is irrelevant, it is not played. But in your 26-20 scenario, it would be played.
By the way, JPB, with regards to my brother: He made it back to San Antonio after the better part of a week in Chicago. The temperature didn't affect him as much as the wind did. He met up with some friends there who invited him to go ice skating...at 10 pm...right by the lake. His reply was "Are you @#%+NG crazy??

@realjohnboy,
I ice skated there in very cold temps as a kid - I remember it as - 7 F, pre windchill factor. (Cowdocs would just laugh. She thinks that's cold..) But, a) I was a kid, b) there was a warming hut on the South Blvd. and Asbury frozen over vacant lot, and c) there were a pitcher of hot cocoa and plate of about to be toasted marshmallows waiting for us.

I'll surprise you and give my ill thought out first rendition of choices, just in case I get all busy. You would be smart, RJB, not to put them on your chart in ink.

Yay goes out to Mysterman and all the close-to being winners. After all is said and done, we're all winners just by playing.

@Ragman,
I certainly am. Fancy me risking all these years arriving at the Pearly Gates and being unable to converse with the gatekeeper about the NFL. And that was the sorry state I was in until I joined rjb's thread. And I'm ashamed to say it. Not that I ever criticised the game mind you.

To criticise the national winter game of a superpower is almost as bad as criticising the nitrogen in the atmosphere. It's an aid in weighing folks up.

When I won the Title last season I felt "Saved". If I win it again I shall probably feel canonised. If a bloke can't claim honorary American citizenship in that blessed state there's something gone askew.

WEEK #15 RESULTS-
Congratulations to Mysteryman, Jespah and Spendius for going 12-4. Mysteryman is the winner for the week based on the tiebreaker. He also won back in Week #7.
Fbaezer, Pansade, CoastalRat, Lmur and Johnboy finished at 11-5, with LiontamerX, Osso and EhBeth at 10-6. Bill, Cowdoc, Ragman, Region and Tico came in at 9-7 and Alex, missing a game, was 8-7. Rhys, McGentrix, George, Miz Cowdoc, AndyClubber and JPB broke even at 8-8. Edgar suffered through a 6-10 week.
CoinToss was 8-8. The best ESPN predictor was 12-4 while the worst was (snicker) 7-9.
As a group we had a success rate of just under 60%. That is slightly above our average for the year.
