I'm stating the truth, a truth little understood by most Americans. They have this notion that all politics revolves around American politics.

It's either incredibly ignorant or incredibly arrogant to say that US politics sets the standard for what is "left" and what is "right" everywhere. That you don't like it doesn't change anything.
