HOW do you propose this should be done?

How much more money and lives need to be lost in this LOSING battle?

What are YOU doing to help in accomplishing what you call "finishing the job?"

Before you ask questions of others, I'm still waiting for you to tell us what YOU have done in your life besides sitting anonymous behind a computer screen spewing venom.

Well does having a radio show in Chicago that exposes the lies of the bush administration (as well as a host of other topics) count?

How about interviewing an ULTRA CONSERVATIVE presidential candidate on my internet show next week?

How about being an activist for peace?

How about being the author of 4 books?

What about having over 200 articles published through various media outlets nationwide?

Does ANY of this count in your little mind?

So before you attemp to belittle someon, please know what you're talking about.

NOW, please answer MY question.

Very impressive..........................................................

But being a peace activist your still short on the real situation on the ground, walking around in Indian Country.

But ya it seems you got more going for you than most in my little mind.

But my fear is it has blinded you to focus in one view! When that happens you lose sight of the big picture and your goal (which can't change jack) has become far to one sided.

Station, please? I can have a radio show too, through the same internet setup you use. The invite anyone to try it out. And, from your profile, you've really only been on once.

Which one? I'll be a little impressed if you get one of the candidates who is actually nationally known. If you get some local guy no one knows of, I expect you're setting up your own little straw man.

How about being an activist for peace?

Activist how? Carried a sign and yelled epithets at passers by on your safe streets in your hometown? I was an active agent for peace for 14 years, by being a member of our armed forces. I (and others here) made the streets safe for you to have your little demonstrations.

Written one myself. Compiled an anesthesia reference book as well. Never got either one formally published, but that wasn't the goal for either of them. How bout you? Published? Where can I find your books?

Letters to the editor don't count.

Honestly? No. Based on what you've written here, I saw more of the world before I was 30 than you have seen in your whole life (and you and I are the same age).

From my perspective, I still see a man who has not been out in the world, yet forms his opinions of the world based on what he reads in the papers and on the internet. His mind is made up, so no need to confuse him with facts. You have basically never risked anything for what you do, yet you have the chutzpah to call the folks willing to take the risks you won't cowards.

You become more transparent by the post.

@kmchugh,
So do either of you have thoughts about what the General had to say to Congress and on public news shows?

Yeah, actually I do, but I don't base it on what is reported. What I have heard from friends of mine still associated with the military, and are in positions to know, the General's assessment was pretty much spot on. While there are still pockets of violence, by and large the surge seems to have worked (so far).

What worries me (my own concern) is that the political climate might force our hand too early. We may wipe our brows at a job well done, and pull out too early. Then we may find out that the insurgents hid, like cockroaches when a light is turned on. Turn the lights off, and the cockroaches run right back out.

@FedUpAmerican,
"I helped make Mexico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefits of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the international banking house of Brown Brothers in 1909-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for American sugar interests in 1916. In China I helped to see to it that Standard Oil went its way unmolested."

Some things never change...
