I know this particular article was borne out of the scandal in the Los Angeles Mayor's office but it posed questions of all our leaders - who suffers most? Dems or rebubs..?

@socalgolfguy,
I despise the argument that says a public leader's sex-life is none of the public's business. I say it is, within reason. Proper sexual conduct comes with the job. Adultery in the military is a legally punishable offense. It has to be. Leaders have to set the example, both in their public and personal lives.:headbang:

Is it too much to ask that our elected officials be squeaky clean at least for the term of their office..?

Exactly. I was wearing Uncle Sam's uniform when my Commander-in-Chief committed adultery in a government facility, with a subordinate, and then lied about it to America. Any and all of those crimes would have gotten me locked up at Leavenworth if I had committed them. What an example we had to follow in Clinton Man-Whore. What an example.:thumbdown:

He has spent a lifetime pandering to the weak promising to take care of them like an old dowager aunt.

@socalgolfguy,
Yeah....he's a definitive southern, White, populist con-artist. He figured out at the beginning of his slimey career that African-Americans were easy prey for false promises and focused all his energy on beguiling them. It worked, but it's all totally fake. He wants power not to serve, but to exploit others for his miximum, personal pleasure. He's a horrible hedonist. Power gives him great access to pleasure, which explains his presence in American politics. He's the worst kind of scum, because he's a brilliant strain of scum. He flourishes amongst the unwitting, the vulnerable, the needy. He leaches off them, sucking their hearts and souls empty, like a spiritual vampire. I hate him.

@socalgolfguy,
Will Slicky Boy continue to cheat on Hillary when she's President? If so, will he do it in the White House, or roam around town with the Secret Service, in tow? I wonder. I also wonder if he'll reconnect with Monica. Will he have a bachelor-pad in the White House where he can operate his harem? How will Hillary react when he gets caught? All very intriguing questions. My tax dollars help pay for the Presidency. I want to know what those on the inside do to it.

@socalgolfguy,
I predict he will be the first First Gentleman (used loosely) that has an all-female secret service team - providing all forms of secret services....

@socalgolfguy,
There not so secret if every body knows how you are.

Quote:
“An editorial in The New York Observer, often called the paper of the liberal elite, described Mr. Clinton as ‘an untrustworthy lowlife who used people for his own purposes and then discarded them. How could they have been fooled so badly?’...[M]illions of Americans, including political hacks, media toadies, and grass-roots dupes, were unflinchingly loyal to Clinton throughout a scandal-drenched eight years, during which it was credibly charged or proven that he: seduced a 21-year-old White House intern, groped a visitor in the Oval Office, paid his way out of a pants-dropping charge, was credibly accused of rape, organized a White House hit team to assassinate the reputation of his accusers; took money from Chinese communist donors; entertained known criminals, drug dealers and arms smugglers at private White House gatherings; hid subpoenaed documents in the living quarters of the White House; rented out the Lincoln bedroom; sold seats on Air Force One; violated the War Powers Act; bombed an aspirin factory in Sudan; never uttered a word of regret for the 19 innocent babies and children who were burned to death at Waco; used the IRS and the FBI to attack political enemies; used taxpayer-paid lawyers and aides to defend himself against charges of sexual misconduct; lied under oath; lied when not under oath; shredded documents; suborned perjury; tampered with witnesses and obstructed justice... I remain hopeful that in time, the legacy of the Clinton presidency will be that its classic wretchedness awakened the American people from a soul-numbing, moral stupor.” —Linda Bowles

The quote within your quote was extraordinary.

It deserves its own thread. It's too relevant to be buried here.
