Absolutely. You shifted the argument by saying "And then, of course, atheists saved the world." which is aiming at our (I can vouch for me at least) views, and not the argument itself.

I'm completely apathetic about Iraq. It's not a bad thing overall, but sure, the reason given for invasion was not valid.

If you are under the impression that someone has WMDs and has used such weapons in the past on civilians, it would be a good idea not to let them control a country. It's different with Christians.

Nagasaki and Hiroshima?????

Only one country has ever used WMDs on civilians and we did it twice.

How is it different? You want to make an exception to the rule (i.e. "It's different with Christians"), explain why.

Nuclear weapons are not the only type of WMDs. I include chemical weapons.

Okay, suspected stockpiling of WMDs is not the same as sermons by evangelists, and there is no precedent for transgressions on the part of the latter group.

why the double standard?

Forgetting the innocent until guilty thing, are we? Funny how he didn't have what we said, isn't it?

No transgressions by by "evangelicals"? The destruction of an entire culture is quite a transgression (Maya). Setting people on fire, one hell of a transgression (Salem). Sorry, but Christians have a precedent of transgression nearly two millenia long.

Saddam had Iraq for how long, now?

Should anyone suspect you for crimes committed by your great-grandfather, or perhaps your eighth cousin (conquistadores are the equivalant of mainstream Protestants?)?

Christian Fundamentalists have about as much control of the US government as Muslim fundamentalists have control of Iranian government.
