@Red cv,
Well, I'm now even more motivated to PRESS THE CAUSE. Something like atomic energy is coarsing through my veins right now. I'm home.....ah, yes, home. SWEET HOME, TEXAS.....Texas, the land I love. Thank you, Texas, for adopting me, me, a lonely wanderer. Amen.

@Pinochet73,
LOL are you glad to be home Pino?

Dear Diary: It's been far to stormy this past week with thunder storms roaring through my province wreaking havoc and mayham. Perhaps it's time to move again. I think I found Osma Bin laden, does this look like Binny Diary? If it does look like Binny should I call Home Land Security or take out the Roaster myself. I must run Diary the dog waits for no man or in my case woman

Scooby, I have learned over the years to be tolerant and respectful of all others. I do not agree with your politics but that does not mean that I would not have a pint with you some time. I know it's cliche but some of my best friends are liberals. In my heart, I know that there are many conservative values smoldering just below the surface. It is my job to remind them.

I'm a libertarian, do you realize how lonely I'd be if I chose relationships based on politics?

@Red cv,
Probably no more lonely than you are now, I suspect.

Clan man, you're probably an OK guy, you're just so hostile. That kind of act will drive away me away faster than anything. If you have an argument, please, make it. No need to shout....

I'll always be hostile in debate.

It's effective. Very Happy

@Red cv,
IMO hostility has no business in debate. Hostile means your emo, and have lost control.

Or it can mean your views are inherently hostile?

No I'm not, I don't think with my emotions.

That's why I come across as so hostile.

Honestly, I could care less about you people (another example of honesty that could be interpreted as hostility, as honesty often is hostility).

IMO If you are hostile, yes you do.

That's not how i take it. If you cannot logically and without hostility discuss/debate something you will never have common ground. With out that all that is left is arguement.

If you leave today, i'll still be here tomorrow. Example of hostility, no. example of emotion, yes.

Who ever said being rational and being hostile were inherently opposed?

For instance, show me an example of me being hostile, and I'll show how it was rational.

@Red cv,
If hostility was a normal part of your being, then i could see the point, do you consider yourself hostile in everyday life? Or just in debate? If it's just debate then i would say it's to seek to gain some kind of advantage? What other reason is there? Your first presumption is that we think you hostile, i for one do not.

Only to the weak minded that use volume rather than argument to make their point. This is my last post on this topic. Thank you for reading.

Oh, man. I can't describe it. We went to Colorado, saw my atheistic family, and endured their snide remarks (they particularly loathe Christianity because its taking over Colorado Springs, which is a miracle). Despite my best efforts not to, I re-absorbed the unhappiness of my childhood. As we drove more deeply into the Bible-belt of Texas, on the way back, I felt a tremendous sense of relief. I love this land and its people. I've only lived here for the last nine years, but I strongly consider it home. God bless TEXAS.

My points are inherently hostile.

For instance, I believe that people who restrict the freedom of others for safety are cowards. Very hostile, very much a point.

Only the weak minded don't realize that sometimes the point is inherently hostile.

Again, I challenge anyone to show a time I've been hostile on these forums, and then I'll show you how it's a rational point.
