Aaron leave your bias and anger at the door this is a fun thread. Your sensible shoes are cough cough way to tight Dear. Might I suggest a one inch heel?

Dear Diary; today started out to be the day from hell. We've assembled all the walls, roof trusses and painted the exterior and today was the day we put her together. We built the structure on land so we could foist her in two goes. Manland/workshop is going to become a reality. My wonderful most wonderful "Brother-in-law" arranged (called in his markers) that two of his oldest friends would show up to help us lift the walls and raise the trusses. Kinda sounds like porn doesn't it Diary. Well anyway I was really stressed, no I was the raging ditch from hell but it's the heat not my sunny quiet cough cough personality-shut up Diary. Well I digress these two old friends are identical twins that own a construction company and in four hours the attached pics show what transpired. I was so relieve to see some progress after six weeks, husband number one or is that ex-husband desire to be perfect in all he does damn near drove me bonkers.

Now Diary husband/ex husband has a disability he's had his ankle to knee replace already. Having two pros show up for free brought tears to my eyes, or was that the lawn I just mowed. It shall take the other half at least nine months to lay the plywood for the roof because he built and designed the trusses so he can't walk on them as per code in Canada. We will need to buy yet more equipment so he can put the roof down. He's been conning me since day one but as the "Money Man/Gal I can shut him down in a heart beat. He doesn't know the power I wield as the money GAL. I could make him tarp the damn thing and leave a hole for the wood stove I bought him for at least a year. I could, I can and I might but if he sells the Ford F150 he can pay for the roof himself. God power makes one giddy. Night diary it's been a long day the temp reached 37 with 100 percent humidex. Those sissys in Texas don't know what heat issssssssssssssssssssss

Pics of todays work:

Red, I do admire your mastery of the Queen's english.

@Red cv,
Have a grand trip Dr. I hope the weather isn't as brutal as it's been here. 34 degrees with 100% humidity around 42 degrees, Pino shoot me will ya lad.

LOL SoCal that's me accent lad, we's Nova Scotia chicks have a lilt when we speak.

Dear Diary, may god answer my prayer and Pino shoots me and puts me out of my ever suffering misery. Jesus Mary and the other fella I can't take these temps, I've spent the better part of the day trying to cool off in the dog's pool. Didn't work thou, I drank so much water I hurled in isle five at Sobeys. Just water so it wasn't really that embarassing when my neighbour's son CLEANED it up. Tomorrow my brother-in-law and my nephew are coming to shingle the shed, but only if the weather gets cooler. They'll fry up on the roof. Well diary it's time for a wee dunk in the dogs pool, the worst part is removing all his balls so I can sit down. Old Lady panties aren't purdy when they get wet and start to droop and sag. LOL get that image out of your heads fellas. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaa

Dear Diary,

For the first time ever, I just put someone on 'ignore'. Feels cowardly, but for the sake of remaining eligible to post on this awesome site, I did it anyway. :thumbup: :peace: :peace: :thumbup:

I'm still not convinced she's a man...Annie Oakley "played" with guns...and that psycho astronaut Lisa Nowak had a gun, too....so, ample reason for the enforcement of "gun laws" and background checks.

Enforcement of gun laws and personal possession of firearms for self protection are two entirely different matters.
