You missed the whole point.Very Happy You don't know who is being held or what their charges are.

Tortue isn't necessarily the most effective method of interrogation to strart with. It just the most barbaric.

It goes against the U.S. laws of due process. You know, innocent until proven guilty. You seem to suggest they are guilty by association. Very few of them are even charged with a crime. The information gathered when the detainee is being tortured isn't always reliable either.

Your attitude is what got us involved in Iraq. Too much faith in government. With Bush directing it, it's even worse. He gave the C.I.A. and the military a green light for this type of treatment of detainees labeled as persons of interest.

They should be treated as prisioners of war.They would still be mistreated, but the Red Cross and similiar agencies would have accest to prisioners to to monitor their treatment.

We are losing future bargaining chips in negotiating treaties where human rights are an issue. China is a good example.

What is the trade deficit these days with China?Very Happy

Barberic?!!! EUH !! The fact that we are getting these people the whole nine yeards to work and plan their terrorists targets, that.s barbaric!!!! They use us and they kill us, they split on our belief and laws but they manipulate them for their own purposes, on the top of that they hate our culture, our flag and put t under their feet!! That's barberic!!! It seems we are dealing with a barberic culture!!! Who they think they are????

Our governaments need to do whatever it is necessary to make our country a safer place even torture!!!! whatever it takes..We did not make them choose their actions, the digged their own grave, now they can roll in it!!!! We just go along!!!With the shavel of course!!!Very Happy

To get attention to solve problems no matter what kind, does not justify terrorrism!!! They deserve all our " barberic" attention and more!!!!Very Happy

No sympaty here on my part, i really despise anti-americans!!!! :frown:

Without insults you don't offer much in the way of discussion. You turn topics into schoolyard banter.

I believe that is what a person with your view would see. It does not surprise me. What you fail to see is you were the one to cast the first stone. It is not up to me to let you know i am coming. But you sure feel it when i am here.

You don't offer much including your insults. Can't take the heat! Stay out of the schoolyard.

You may be right about beating around the bush. Point taken.:thumbup:

On the other hand, personal attacks coming from a moderator won't get me on the right track either.

Sometimes I throw comments out there to just for the sake of offering a different point of view. There are few times anyone agrees, but I get a chuckle out of it just the same.

I'm under the impression that sometimes it is easier to shoot the messenger.

There is no maybe.

You stating they are personal attacks does not make them so. Everything i have used i can justify from your words and your words alone, Mods have opinions too. I don't care if i change your mind, i only wish to keep others abreast of your tendency to stray in accusations and your lack to justify the same.

You are not the only one to throw things out there, but you sure mind when the things thrown are about you. Hipocritical at the very least.

Point is, you assume we torture people. Yet you require no proof for yourself or others as to the truth of your statement. Torture is a big word especially when you'll not define it.

@tumbleweed cv,
Torture - 1 a : anguish of body or mind : AGONY b : something that causes
agony or pain
2 : the infliction of intense pain (as from burning, crushing, or wounding) to
punish, coerce, or afford sadistic pleasure

Hilas also said he witnessed an Army translator having sex with a boy at
the prison. He said the boy was between 15 and 18 years old. Someone
hung sheets to block the view, but Hilas said he heard the boy's screams
and climbed a door to get a better look. Hilas said he watched the assault
and told investigators that it was documented by a female soldier taking
pictures.

"The kid was hurting very bad," Hilas said.

Le'ts show them they are f.....g with the wrong countries!!!Very Happy :p

I saw an interview yesterday between Jonh Billinger and an english BBC reporter Stephen Zuckar, his attittude of judge and jury about your country, GTMO and torture was making me puke!!!! I hate him..Obviously i hasn't got a clue of the big problem we allhave... His attittude and others like him are making things worse and no better!!! Coward!!!

I almost wanted to wait form him outside and give him a piece of my mind!!!!Very Happy

Those terrorrists or associates have enough friends around the world, fighting their battle, you do need to become one of them!!! You got to stick on US side and defend your country reasons and choices!!!! :thumbup: Never show your enemies, you are conflicted!!!

@Sherman cv,
What makes America great is not treating people as pictured above.

I won't back down from that opinion. When we lose that, we have nothing.

@tumbleweed cv,
Being nice and going by the rules is what is getting our soldiers killed everyday.

Sucks when we have to play by international rules of war and the enemy doesnt.

Yet we get the brunt of the crap from the world.

Go figure

Brent, we're not being nice and playing by the rules. We're torturing thousands
of people, picked up on tips, and obviously the information we're getting
isn't preventing our soldiers from being killed or turning much around in
Iraq, or anyplace else.

Please tell me you understand that...

US have the right to defend the world your ancestors build with their hard labour, a country create from nothing...
That wonderful world they called AMERICA, so proud and strong. A great country.

Your brothers and sisters are gone, murdered, your values and belief which give greatness to the United States of America has been stepped on...

It is this the kind of people you are so keen to protect and save?

Not me...I am glad that we got someone that is not blinded by public opinion to do whatever it is necessary...I tell you what, CIA is the best instrument we can ever have to fight our real enemies... WE need some sort of assurance that there is something out there, ready to jump and protect us, not matter at what cost!!! :thumbup:

The difference between those prisoners and americans is that you were pushed to the extreme to deal with extremists.. So bring it on...We are ready when they are!!!Very Happy

Where are the pics of beheadings? I'm sure you have just as good links that show what real torture is? You have a bias twards are armed forces but you have yet to speak of the whole picture? What of the atrosities to there bodies? If you want common ground you'd better say what you really mean. Stop using our troops as your punching bag. Maybe you aut to envision what is really happening out there, why not a word of that? You speak from a high totem as you allow others greater harm but only choose to speak directly to those you wish to control. Reality is not what you think is going on. there is a bigger picture. You should try and see it sometime.
