Talking of God and aliens - what's the opinion about the Clonaid/Raelians and their belief that we were created by aliens (presumably from another planet)?

If aliens created us, did they also create the evolutionary record to make it look like we are indigenous to this planet? Such nonsense. Rolling Eyes

I don't think that admitting to myself that there are things we do not understand and cannot explain necessarily makes me a "romantic".

Hell, I actually hate a mystery.

Snood, I didn't intend to disparage you. I wish I were more romantic (in the literary sense of the word); it would make my life still more interesting. It's not only that I thought you loved mystery, but that you had to embelllish it with "romantic/exciting" interpretations. I am one who likes mystery both in the sense that in evokes all kinds of speculations--which my rational urge quickly moves to squash--and in the sense that I can live without knowing. If I see an unidentified flying object, I will for a minute or two entertain the idea that it is something exotic, even potentially dangerous, like an invading space ship, but I will soon admit that the flying object is unidentified and live with that fact. The abilitly to live with mystery, the unknown, is a fairly unromantic abililty.

Well, even if he isn't aboriginally indiginous, and he may not have discovered the place, pueo is a fine example of modern, contemporary GUAMANIAC.
