@hamilton,
i'm saying, death only happens once. once.
i've been to disney land 3 times, seen paul mcartney in a show twice, but this is once.
once and its done.
im not saying im emo and i want to die, but...
death. only. happens. once.
you have to smell it when its happening. feel it. you have to think: "wow. im dying. its really happening. awesome." i think if you ARE reborne after you die, you don't remember it.
so what's the point? its basically like you never existed.
if there's one thing i know for sure, is that perception is reality, of course. and since you percept you never existed before, then you never existed before.

@whyisitso,
well, your history is remembered... look at heroes who died, and inspired others to do great (and horrible) things...

I think the question should be What is the purpose of belief in life after death?

@free thinker,
I wouldn't say that there would be no motive. Just because there is no pain that doesn't make existence meaningless.

@JLNobody,
Religion teaches that nonsense. Live a moral life on planet earth, and you'll live forever in heaven. The kicker? Everybody sins. Your sin is not my sin; so on, and so forth.

@JPhil,
no pain does not make a life meaningless. no challenge, does.

@hamilton,
Are you talking about that fictional character in the comic book called the bible who performed miracles, and came back from the dead? If jesus was able to perform miracles, surely, he didn't need the assist from god to come back to life. LOL

@hamilton,
How better? I see plenty of screw-ups by this "god."

@cicerone imposter,
God's only excuse for the disasters we experience throughout history is that he doesn't exist.
Theodicy is the impossible discipline of justifying God's goofs while maintaining that he exists, and in a condition of omnicience and omnipotence.

@JLNobody,
I understand that!~ I'm just trying to make light of what people believe to be god(s), and the contradictions we find in the only book that is the basis of their religious belief.

life after death is not about purpose but about the reality of forms of energy

now religion , god -devil , knowing this , has manipulated this truth into the fear of this state of bio-energy , and thereby manipulated us

I look to our ancesters rather than to any religious understanding of life after death

@edgarblythe,
Wow!
But her transcendtal nature is why I love Nature. Especially since I know She is really you and me, not just that which surrounds us.

@MyViewpoint,
How does one glorify god? He doesn't exist. God is a man-made concept; that's the reason there are many gods for humans.
