Not grammar. Spelling. I do spell "color" correctly.

Europeans think that the American Dream is to be attacked by terrorists? Apparently the English, the Spaniards, the Danes, and the Russians (if they are Europeans) don't like it much. Maybe Holland has not been attacked yet. But it will be. Never fear.

I like Never Fear as a motto! Russians are definitly European. Yes we are under attack to. In Spain was a major attack in Madrid. Problem was they first blamed ETA I believe.

I think Obama might be the Gorbatjov of the USA.:eek:

I did not say that it is absurd to believe that there are people other than those you have met who also dislike Obama because of his race. I said that you have insufficient evidence to draw the conclusion that most of the people who oppose Obama do so because of his race. See the difference?

Then why are you responding to my posts? I never said most of the people who oppose Obama do so because of his race.

For what, the third time?

@kennethamy,
This discussion is seeming too hostile and disharmonic to me, I do not think it will get anywhere at this rate.

@kennethamy,
Yeah, I don't really get the point.

Some people are racist.
Black people vote democrat
Black people like Obama particularly
People with postgraduate degrees support obama more often that others

conclusion: ???

Time will tell, I'll judge Obama as best I can in three years. History will judge him in thirty.

The people who are most passionate about politics to the point where they have a strong opinion on everything usually have poor basis for their beliefs.

Indeed, religion is not the only area where faith is applied =)

That's what I began with. I thought I would ask what the explanation of that was. The other stuff was added on. (But I do think we have a good deal of information to judge Obama's performance up to now. Well, he received the Nobel Peace Prize. Did he do anything else; if that was doing something?)

@kennethamy,
Well we can speculate. But I don't see it as a positive or negative for Obama. Which demographics support him seems trivial compared to his policies and plans.

See what? His current performance has been abysmal. As I expected it to be.

In your opinion. Expected , is the key word in that sentence, it tells me you had already decided before one day of his office had finished. Its not exactly a sign of open mindedness, is it?

@kennethamy,
I do no understand the hostility. How many of us are really free to choose what believe we defend?

We all have ties to the past. In Europe 1/2 the countries have been an empire once, or twice...

Maybe reinstalling the Monroe-doctrine would work wonders.

It is a sign (and sigh) of realism. Since he has not accomplish anything, but, rather, raised this country's debt to astronomical proportions (the debt ceiling has just been raised to fourteen trillion dollars) and his signature piece of legislation has gone down the toilet, it is not only an opinion (and it is that) but a very informed opinion. Have you an informed opinion to counter it?

Considering the debt was created by the mismanagement of the previous administration your views are obviously biased.

@kennethamy,
It's not so much the absolute amount but the interest which is interesting. Eupese multi-nationals have in some cases better credit-ratings and therefore cheaper access to capital than the US treasury.

Yes. Since Barry. As Margaret Thatcher remarked, the trouble with Socialism is that you begin to run out of other people's money.

Margaret Thatcher ruined the UK economy for ten years, just like the Bush legacy has ruined the US economy. The bankers failed under his watch not Obama's.

But Obama's watch is still ticking, let us see what our country looks like when his presidency is over :whistling:
